Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is now receiving the Android 9 Pie update with One UI

    I wish LG could see this. This is how their "software update concentrated support center" should work. But, noooo.... LoL Kudos to Samsung for their after-sales support. Although, a little late with their updates, are STILL delivering updates.

      Any idea of the android pie update is coming to Samsung Galaxy On Max? It is a sibling to Samsung Galaxy J7 Max.

        Another body blow to Galaxy owners by Scamsung. They're very crafty in releasing phones with outdated Android so when it comes to uogrades, they don't have to bother with the latest version.

                Now I'm really angry because a better phone won't get the update (also the same with the S7/edge).

                        what a shame that A3/A5/A7 2017 will not receive Pie, even though they are more expensive and come with many more features over the J5, but Samsung stubbornly launched them right after new years eve with 6.0, just so they won't be able to receive Android 9 due to them receiving two updates over the years, one of which should have been out of the box. Thanks, Samsung!

                          Is S7 edge's processor weak or less powered then j series of 2017. I wonder y there is no Pie for S7 edge.

                            I do wish that Samsung can bring out Android 9 Pie update with One UI to the Galaxy A5 (2017).

                                J3 2017 also received an update to 9.0

                                  That's some good news for a lot of people.

                                  Because J5 2017 was selling really well in my country for example, and people buying low end smartphones deserve some attention too.
