See the GPU benchmark of QHD+ screen (except Apple which has powerful GPU)! And, what's the point of having increasing battery capacity while the displaye eats consumption much? See the battery endurance of P30 Pro compare to the QHD+ phone!
Only VR usage is QHD+ need display. Real daily usage is useless.

I stopped liking Huawei phones since they locked the bootloader.
I'm never going back to them. It was arrogant of them.

Huawei died when they raise their product's price but not the phone value. just look at p30 pro; a phone with super premium price but just 1080p display! also in mid-range phones most companies use Oled display and Huawei using cheap LCD panels. I don't care about Huawei when brands such as Xiaomi , Oneplus, Oppo ,Vivo and Meizu offer more valuable products at lower price

Wonder to which degree the ban is circumventable legally. Android is free open source except for a small proprietary core part which Huawei perhaps could make a substitute for. As for he apps, Huawei could create an empty Playstore and stock it with copies from the Google's Playstore? But if not then the banned apps can be accessed in a browser like Firefox.

Huawei haven't even officially announced the phone or admitted it's existence and therefore Google would be under NDA to even mention it let alone discuss what they're plans are for it.
I recall a few months ago there was plenty of media reports saying plenty of other stuff so I'm taking this one with a pinch of salt.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2019 no, it will require a flashing tool to install the package... morewhy would they need to be flashed? if the OS is still android, it should just install, just would not be secure, and not get updates and such from play services.
Im not up on flashing zip files, i only have sideloaded APKs myself, but if android is installed then it will recognise the apps right?
