29 August 2019
The results are not too far off from last year's flagship chipsets.

It's a good chip, have the phone for more than 6 months and had no problems at all. It performs better than a 835, some things are comparable with 845 lol

Some manufacturers are extremely good with updates and OS upgrades like Nokia. Xiaomi on the other hand provides so called updates from their own team regularly - thus giving a placebo effect of updates when in reality they rarely give OS upgrades and updates

What is unacceptable is your comment :

                - There are still people who think GPS doesn't work on Mediatek? Pathetic! Really pathetic!
My Oppo A3 fix in less than a second outdoor (wifi and data off!)

Sustained perfs? Helio P60 on A3 is fine...
                One exemple :
                GFXBench Manhattan 3.1 : 680 frames
GFXBench Manhattan 3.1 long Term Performances (same test repeated during 31minutes) : 679 frames : nearly no frame drop on a 31minutes test!...please, have a look at Exynos 7885 on that test!!!

                Sources ? Here are Oppo A3's :
                https://github.com/oppo-source/A3-8.1-kernel-source

Updates? Android P is on beta test...I should get it in september
As the device is more than one year old, I get updates every two monthes, security patch is from july 2019.

And it is not the only device!
It's the same on Redmi 6

You can have a look at Nokia's updates programme...7 Mediatek's devices will update to Android 10, some come from Oreo...
In this list, Nokia 1 uses a mt6737 used on some devices released with Android 6.0

                So stop spreading false forejudgement!

                  Since it's a MediaTek phone:
                  - Device GPS will not work reliably without EPO files (now EPO servers are dead)
                  - Gaming (frame rates, sustained performance) will be substandard
                  - No kernel source
                  - After 1 or 2 maintenance patches, the upgrade path is pretty much sealed

The non-availability of GPS on MediaTek chips is unacceptable in 2019, when so many apps critically depend on it (food ordering, maps, cabs etc.).

This should have been released with the Snapdragon 845, or even the 835. But MediaTek? Absolutely not. I will not use a phone without GPS in 2019.

note that its antutu 8 and not antutu 7.
this chipset is in par with snapdragon 730 (or maybe 712) as it scores the same on antutu 8.

The Mem score looks suspicious. Even flagships with SD855 score about 14000, and the Helio G90T scores over 50000?

                          https://youtu.be/pgQtiv5fSH0

For your information, X25 is an overclocked X20...2.5ghz instead of 2.1ghz
And X25 throttle far far far less than SD652.

My test on X20 shows even less throttling and it's normal because of frequency but I didn't record anything...

For that reason, as you trolled Mediatek here and there, my opinion is that you never had an X20 in hand!

Gusta, 30 Aug 2019True.. Because the price is also targeted for mid high.. No... moreThe best choice for Note 8 would be P65...

                              For :
                              - ISP that can handle 48MP camera with noise reduction...SD665 can't over 25MP, no SD can except 855.
                              - Cortex A75 and DynamIQ
                              - better AI
(Note : Mali G52 are better than G72...execution unit are twice wider)

Mediatek remove UFS support (that P60 has) to reduce cost...never mind, Xiaomi will probably use eMMC on Note 8 (like Note 7)

Not last year flagship.. The problem of the Note 8 series is the Note 8 itself. Note the Pro. It using SD665 while every other companies which using this SoC is just having HD+ screen resolution (including from Xiaomi ie CC9e and Mi A3). That's because the perfomance of SD665 is below SD660 of Note 7. Xiaomi shoult put at least SD675. Not SD665.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that xiaomi cheated this time to get a high score. It happened with lots of companies before. And xiaomi seems pretty eager to outsell the note 7 series
