I will surely buy the lumia 610 because the lowend droids are full of issue such as "sd card removed", "back key issue", "incoming call issue". I want a lowend phone which doesn't have any kind of issue. Don't need high processor at low price but want a issueless smartphone at low cost.

The problem with the WP 7.5 Mango is that the bad impression Microsoft has given over the years has also it made it more difficult for people to try this device or OS. Try it !!!

Nokia aka microsoft fanboys your devotion is really admirable to the old kings. But now the new kings are here. Analysts predict dat samsung(Android) along with apple(ios) will capture abt 90% of smartphone market in 2012. So no matter how much you bang about wp market growth rate its still nowhere near dat of androids. Nokia is still the king of very low end(below 80 €) fones n microsoft is still the leading os for computer n laptops n dat too by a huge margin. But in the smartphone world they r no match for samsung or apple.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2012Wrong, Android may be free for manufacturer's from Google; ... moreYou are wrong on few things.

One WP market share is not shirnking. Its rising, albeit slowly.

Android was free for makers when it started into the market. Its only recently that microsoft started gaining royalty for the patents. And now, device makers have no choice but to use android, as it became popular since then. Why do think Samsung develops Bada OS? Ans.Its a fall back plan and for slow change over if things go pear shaped.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2012WP7 has been losing average 0.1% is not within statistical ... moreI already outlined the key marketing differences between WP7 and Android (i.e. the legacy of Windows Mobile vs. the geeks going ga-ga over the Googlephone) and it takes a great deal of counter-marketing to overcome that difference.

I've also conceded that WP7 is not growing as fast as Android did in its first year - and it goes without saying that on curves like these small initial differences can make for large eventual differences.

Even if a 0.1% drop isn't outside the realm of statistical significance, such a drop is set against a background of continuing overall growth in the smartphone market. The jump in numbers thanks to solid marketing and exciting handsets from Nokia shows that people are open to being won over. A new range of cheaper phones, along with the upcoming flagships will help WP7 grow.

AnonD-1420, 27 Feb 2012WP marketshare is not shrinking. Check my link: the 0.1% &q... moreWP7 has been losing average 0.1% is not within statistical error, especially given the initial amount of market share it previously owns. How about looking at Canalys', IDC, and Gartner's results rather than cherry picking one market share that shows it in less than "owned" views?

The difference between Android and WP7 is already been stated time and time again, Android launched on the smallest of US carriers with only one device from HTC which at the time was basically an unknown manufacturer to everybody. HTC at the time of the G1 is not the same notoriety company of HTC today, Android also launched in the US only initially and received no marketing support from Google or any other carrier or any manufacturer. How much money has Google invested in marketing Android? None. How much did Microsoft invest in marketing for Nokia just in those 2.5 months? 250 MILLION dollars. How many carriers did Windows Phone 7 Launch with? in the US alone they launched with AT&T and Tmobile, with many devices across the board, in EU they've launched on many carriers with devices from Samsung, HTC, and LG.

One of the point for Microsoft join Nokia was make WP7 accessible as far & long as they can. And actually they make it!!.

In fact we will have a wave of sub 200 dlls phones with WP7, this will benefit both, Nokia and Microsoft, Nokia will sold more phones and WP will gain more name on a good branded phone. Behind (but close at the same time) Symbian still lurking and alive....so that OS is not dead already... This will hurt some way Android, because not even Samsung have the rename of Nokia brand behind and people recognize more a Nokia phone than a Samsung, there still people that believes a Samsung phone is an iPhone :P
