Not very useful, there is the Xperia 1. It would take a model 5G or a compact (the new "ACE" in Japan)

Sony phones don't sell anyway, so they should try to make phones that nobody else is making anymore (compact phones). They will have a better chance of good sales then, provided they don't overprice it.

Does anyone know why Sony doesn't use the under display fingerprint reader? Is it because of patent issues?
Stuck in 2016-2017, while everyone else have moved on, including those Chinese phones

Looks like this is the Compact series. The clue is supersized Sony logo and woman handling the phone. Seems intriguing but yet can't enjoy them anymore due to their market strategy.. :(

And this is coming from the guy ... moreThis is early to say ugly, you can compare those notch and punch hole, those fans say it is beautiful and futuristic but in the end they "hide it", I don't say the design is "shame" but most people can't accept the notch/hole especially when they typing in nights.

Phone should be better afterwards, not downgrade. This looks like XZ > XZ Premium > XZ1 & XZ2 > XZ2 Premium > XZ3 all over again.
They already introduce Xperia 1, 10 & 10+ earlier. The next one should be Xperia 1 Premium, Xperia 1 Compact & another updated upper mid range phone. Keep pricing competitive, do the same next year. For now all of it are overpriced.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2019The camera setup makes this phone look like a clone of the ... moreLook similar on triple cameras but those sensors is different placed, you can find the second line of the sensors on Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Note 10+. You may have chance to cover those second lines sensors with your forefinger when shooting in landscape mode.

Looks pretty dope, glad to see the camera placement back to the left side. I also feel like the phone is slightly (?) wider than the Xperia 1, maybe to please the few 7 year olds that complained that the phone was too narrow.
