Another "960 fps" claim that's fake, as the camera there are only 2 camera sensors with RAM buffer that can do this. All others must be interpolating.

I'm pretty sure I saw other TCL phones before, like TCL 560 & 562. So this can't be their first phone.

TCL owns Alcatel and they have released many phones under TCL brand over years in China actually. Same phones rebranded as Alcatel for other markets.

FasterJonny, 05 Sep 2019it's nearly stock Android, TCL said that google interfaces ... moreYeah, but a Stocki-ish OS does not always translate into Optimised OS.
That's where most people have their reserves.
Although ever since the days of Android 8.1, this gap has largely dwindled.

Sweet lord the world's rarest camera type returns
That 2.9 micron 2mp dedicated low light camera is no joke people..
This is what quad camera phones should be made off not depth(basically useless) or macro lens( wide angle lens can act as macro as seen by Huawei)
The low light video on the Lenevo z6pro is objectively the best on the market because of this lens
Hopefully this becomes a trend and other manufacturers add this sensor as a staple

To become a popular phone brand you should make a great camera phone with great lowlight performance

the third 2mp is a nightvision camera, semilir to the one found in Lenovo z6 pro
it has a size of a 2.9 micron per pixel, which is great for capturing light at night at 1080p

Big battery, micro SD support, headphone jack, NFC, triple camera setup with Gyro EIS, good midrange SOC, full HD display with fairly nice design.
Well done TCL, not bad at all.
The only bad thing I'll say is 329 euros is a little high though the with likes of the Samsung A50 going for around 280 and the Huawei P Smart Z for 200.
For 250 it would be great

Very expensive for a mid-range phone from China. Does it have anything to do with Plex (the streaming app)?

300€ for this kind of smartphone quality is not overpriced at all, the value for money is perfect !!! and the device looks really nice and much premium than its competitors. I'm loving it, the display is just amazing, the best one for sure in the smartphone industry !

Why would they ruin their screen with a punch hole? They produce some of the best monitors, one would think they would respect them more.
Other than that, the phone looks good and should be enough for most people. I wish GSMA could review this phone in the future.
