OMG just look at how many comments Nokia phones get, aka all fanboys defending the dead company.
Word of advise, Nokia, please just start business in cameras, and FORGET about smartphones!!
Photographers who want a 41 mp camera will buy Canon with optical lens, not a some 2010 Symbian phone that uses subpixel trickery with software to turn 5mp images into 41mp ones.
I mean cmon nokia how long have u been in smartphone business, have u learned anything yet?

The Nokia 808 uses a 41 MP sensor, which captures image data from seven adjacent pixels and condenses it into one, resulting in stills at around 5 MP resolution with amazing detail and low noise levels. LOL

AnonD-27136, 27 Feb 2012It can take pictures of 5 mp ,8mp,34mp(16:9) or 38mpWrong!
Only the SEnsor is 41 MP, not the Cam. It just gives better picuters than anotehr 5 mp camphone ,

AnonD-6607, 27 Feb 2012Can anyone explain me this sentence "The Nokia 808 use... moreI hope you are honest, Let me give a try mate.
As you might be aware higher MP, helps in Large prints. Not BETTER IMAGE. in order to get better image the first thing you need is a better SEnsor. According to the article, the image captured per 7 pixels would be compressed into 1 pixel. Even in 5 MP resolution pics taken from this cam would have great detail and so called BETTER IMAGE.
Note that though DSLR have less less SEnsor size, will actually capture the BETTER Picture, because there are otehr factors which influence the picture.
I may not be accurate but tried to give an overview

AnonD-43963, 27 Feb 201241MP, is just too much for a camera phone, they could have ... moreYou still haven't figured it out. This is a smartphone and a DSLR in one, not just a mere camera phone. Belle is a super efficient OS. I swear you'll never run out of free RAM out of that 512MB no matter how hard you multitask.

kids will really think this is a 41MP camera phone (wow).
so what they actually did was to put a huge, ugly sensor, on an even uglier phone design with an obsolete OS and old hardware. so those 41MP is what Nokia uses to try to compete with the powerful phones on the market. in the end it's just another 5MP camera phone

Mobilemaster, 27 Feb 2012It's awesome, but how much space you need to take many pict... moreI've experice this in my DSLR camera.
I've have to buy a 32gb memory card bit I'm still interested in WiFi Sd cards.
Btw, my dslr has a 18 mpx and set up a couple of settings. 1 pics give you around 9mb. And probably with 41mpx, it gives you probably 24mb per picture.
I love to take multiple shots to prevent camera shake. My memory card can last until the end of my vacation without uploading it to the computer.
But all the pics that I took has around 16 gb.
So you need a bigger memory for both phone and computer alike. Big troublesome btw.
