Even i got the note 7.. but when samsung recalled it, they gave me full refund and didnt even take the gear vr that came complimentary with the phone. So i got to experience the phone for whole 2 months and get the best mobile VR headset at that time for lifetime all for free

Advantage of this approach ? Being upfront of anybody like you and utilising features competitors dont ;) (No offence intended)

My suggestion: If you intend to buy it then wait for at least a month for news & user reviews before you buy it. You never know, there might be another recall. Better to be safe than sorry.
