In Sweden the "simpler" iPhone 11 with 64GB start with:
8 919 SEK

Sony Xperia 5:
7 990 SEK

And if you pre-order they will include some Sony earphones 1000XM3 a value of:
2590 SEK

So overall I dont think its a bad deal. Depending on the market of course.

        i was stating the fact that Sony failed to grab the chunk of customers who wants a premium android phone with 3.5mm jack. As more and more manufacturers are dropping this, Sony being in bad shape lately could take the opportunity but they missed and it's their fault.

Remove 3.5mm jack so our wireless headphone business goes up. But unfortunately the group buying airpod and the group buying Sony w1000mx3 are different. So they rather should have kept the jack and include a good sony earphone and keep the launching price same. (Not high cause they already charge more than they should).

            People who are in the market for flagship phones with 3.5mm jack doesn't have many options. Sony failed to give them another one.

Let me say that as a user of Xperia Compact phones for 4 years, that I will never go back to squarish phones since they will dig into your hands.

Argos, Amazon, Very.... You can buy three of them so if one breaks haha you have two more and that is still less than buying one new phone!!!

                      Look at it it's still huge, still clad in glass and still making ads directed by engineers. the ad is better than previous xperia ads but still lacklustre in comparsion to Samsung, Apple and Huawei.

                                Xperia 5: 1074cmp / 869cmp / 0.809
                                P30: 1064cmp / 913cmp / 0.859
                                S10e: 994cmp / 840cmp / 0.844

                                at a first glance the xperia is the looser. as a matter of fact, because of the screen surface lost to rounded corners and front camera (see p30 and s10) pinhole / drop the largest useful, interrupted, untrimmed corners, surface for images is provided by Xperia. not to mention that for 16/9 and 29/9 images the sony uses better the display surface than all the others that automatically introduces, in landscape mode, top and bottom black strips, xperia winner again...

                                plus the better handling due to smaller width...

                                mind that I am no sony fan or xperia owner. just engineer :)

                                    Both the S10e and p30 are wider than the Xperia 5, on the other hand, Xperia 5 is like 2-3 cm taller. But you got the andriod gestures to pull down the notifications, you can turn it off if you want.

                                    If you're complaining about the size being too tall or what, atleast find it when its in stores and test out the feel. (if it ever arrives at your location lol)

                                        Looks convincing. This is truly a gamer phone, although it is not quite there, but Xperia 5 still a good start from Sony.
