Nokia 9 PureView's unique penta-camera gets low score from DxOMark

06 September 2019
It barely beats the Nokia 8 Sirocco in the overall score and actually got a lower video score. The PureView failed to top the 3-year old iPhone 7.

Huh ! Instead of 5 cameras..If they takes 10 photo from one camera sensor and stack them to median or mean then they would get better photo score

Most "camera phones" to this day still can't even hold up to the 950 XL. Even though DxOMark imo can be skewed I believe HMD/Nokia need to go back to the R&D results on this. I have heard mixed reviews. But who really knows?

I translated few conversations on weibo few weeks ago.
People say you cannot trust them.

Accurate enough this time. HMD fans will say otherwise, but this phone takes poor images by itself, and videos are downright terrible. Hopefully PureView 9.1 will be better.

Jeez Louise HMD Nokia! They can't just stop crashing and burning.

And the thing is the alleged successor is in development hell I hear

I'll give her props for their software updates.. but they aren't maximizing on that Innovation

Only china is acting aggressively, even if you don't want to call china innovative you can't deny there attitude and work ethic with experimentation and making products into reality
