I sincerely hope that all new Huawei phones, Mate 30 included, will bring back the small LED notification light so that we dont have to open the screen to see if there is a message. Screen apps such as AOE drain battery too much and are not reliable and stop after some time.
LED lights blink until you open the screen and see the message. LED color indicates which app is sending the message. Beautiful. Never understood why Huawei decided to remove the most valuable and fail safe notification LED in its P30 pro. Go figure. As a devoted and long time user of P and Mate series, I bought and right away sold P30 pro right after I discovered that it lacked LED notification light. Will not buy new Huawei just because of this. Keep on using P20 pro.

The extra features of these phones make a lot of people buy them it while Apple is declining in sales. The 5G is a big lack too for Apple, as is a technology demanded already in China and other countries where this year and next one Apple will drop its sales exponentially as it is already happening. It is an issue that is already being discussed by analysts and websites.
Your are living in the past and blind of the future or blinded by Apple who knows. But the changes are coming, nothing are going to change or stop them and soon we will see it and be confirmed in few days.
And they still have expandable memory, yes, through nanoSD cards but useful anyways.

Their smartphones don't use microSD cards and 5G iPhones will come out next year when the network is robust and widely available. The rest of the stuff you mentioned is either subjective or superfluous.

ThumbsupNo, the Apple design is the way of the humpbacks. This one has a good notch as the sensors there are larger than those from Apple and a stylish centered back without the ugly huge uncentered hump from Apple.
A lot more nice than the new ugly phones from Apple. And a superior hardware and features, better cameras, 5G, expandable memory, bigger batteries, jack, IR, faster port and charger, better wireless features, powerful wireless charging, 3D scanning, +50 zoom, etc.
