I know I do not endorse in any way from anyone any form of spying, eavesdropping, collecting of data or any related activities.

And asking "would you rather US or China spying?" is a dumb question. You're not forced to be spied by anyone. Also, if spying is done in the network, you don't have a choice anyway.

[deleted post]That moment of disappointment when you think somebody is making a logical comment and then realize that he/she is just trying to be xenophobic by reading the end of the sentence...

Still baffled and almost laughing at how short-sighted some people are regarding the whole spying situation when there's still no concrete evidence against Huawei regarding these malcious acts.

Meanwhile, Google, Facebook and Apple were all recently exposed for harvesting user data via their voice activation assistants without users' permissions and people seem like they're totally OK with it. We live in a age where data is the new currency and some people still think only one country in the world is guilty when nothing tangible has still been proven.

I'm not even from the US or China myself but at this point, I'd personally worry more about US companies and the way Trump is conducting himself... and I'm not even just referring to this whole Huawei/trade ban situation but looking at the whole picture of what else is going on right now with him vs the world.

There is zero chance that Huawei is submitting to anybody other than the CCP, nor would they ever need to in at least a few decades, but they may throw a few smokescreens to make naïve people like you think otherwise.
Moreover, with CCP's control over domestic telecoms they won't even allow it, a foreign Huawei would be fighting with Ericsson and Nokia for the 25% of the market allocated to foreign companies.

I could be a new business model. You develop and lead the 5G, sell it and laughs in Trump's face, as sure some US companies could be interested too, docens of billions of profits. Then do the same with 6G, lead it and develop the best 6G equipment, then sell it to the highest bidder again. Cash, cash, cash,..

Here's what I'm thinking about this news:
"Iewauh America was registered by Richard John Smith, a true American farmer who went to war multiple times to defend his country and will buy back Huawei's 5G business."

Let's just say that they could very well attempt to circumvent the ban that way. I'm just sceptical.

                        I hope they do.

They might do whatever they want on their devices, but keep away from networks. We dont want CCP spying on us, especially when communism has proven to be the worst system ever all the times it has been implemented.

Sad. As Captain America said, "I don’t like bullies; I don’t care where they’re from". Huawei should not submit into America's bullying.

They see that they will have trouble selling 5G hardware after Huawei/China/spying scandal.

Why on earth would they want to do something like this ?
                              Someone please enlighten me.
