Xperia 5 doesn't come with ugly notch.
It has triple cameras setup with Eye tracking AF AE.
It is compact than Xperia 1.
The design is gorgeous without second thought.

Heisenberg, 16 Sep 2019I wonder what is stopping companies like Samsung, Oppo, Xi... moreA friend got a Galaxy S10e, it's only 5.8" in a 19.5/9 ratio. It's really small tbh, a cute little phone, and like 1cm taller than its previous iPhone 5S.
Don't be fooled by the diagonal, a 6" 18/9 phone feel far smaller that the 6" 16/9 screen of the Lumia 1520 4 years ago, like really, really smaller. I'm still impressed by my old L1520 while the Xperia 1 just feels normal in my hand.

I wonder what is stopping companies like Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi etc from coming up with compact form factor like Xperia 5. Forget about flagships, mid rangers have atleast 6.2 inch screen.

At least, the Motorola Zoom offer better cameras, dual OIS, better quality construction, better SoC and it's quite unique in design, underdisplay fingerprint sensor, etc. Only for $50 dollars more. Both are overpriced, but at least the Motorola has its strengh points at its range.

It's 5-3 for Nokia and related products. Definitely Nokia fanboy. But I voted for Motorola because Nokia is dead and HMD IS NOT Nokia.

I agree, the Motorola One Zoom looks like the better device.
The market is much healthier now, with multiple OEMs releasing Stock-ishOS and less bloat in their SkinnedOS phones. While this hasn't translated into more software updates or even longer support period, I have noticed that Security Updates have become more prevalent and Platform Updates happen slightly earlier. However, it would be nice to get actual AndroidOne support, as well as an official firmware tool to unlock bootloaders on more devices.
Just imagine if that was the option you had on the Lenovo Z6 Lite/Youth, Lenovo Z6 Pure, Lenovo Z6 Pro, ZTE Axon10 Pro, LG G8, Samsung S10e, Samsung S10, Samsung S10+. I mean, at least some Moto Phones have it, but they're on the lower/midrange end of the scale.

Nokia have zeiss optics camera to get true to the life colors, PureDisplay with HDR10 compliant screen and upscaling to convert any SDR video to HDR.
Only SOC doesn't matter at all see my Nokia 6 2017 with sd430 is having android 9 pie and my friend having moto g5s plus with sd625 having android 8.1 still running slow some times. So tell me how will the SOC matters?
The matter is to provide better support to your mobile and get better hardware utilization so your phone will not become slow at all.

Absolutely no focus on software updates to midrange phones, but actually that's what is the biggest market. And yet most foolish move is to keep churning mid rangers like G and E series. Somehow G series gets updates but absolutely no idea about E series updates.
They should rather focus on just one solid offer in each of Z/X,G ans E series with focus on timely updates. This coupled with assane price tag is enough to capture the market.
