With an IP certification, you are supposed to guarentee that the device will withstand every situation conform to the IP certification. If it doesn't (and with mass production, defects happen, especially on low margin products), then you're supposed to repair/replace it for free.

Well xiaomi is nice competitor in phone segment offering good devices with great qiality for exceptional prices.

I was surprised by rubber seals everywhere. Probably it has an water and dust resistance equivalent to IP65. It's good to know.
