So basically, everyone is doing a Motorola circular bump which is the first in Android.
Motorola is right all along to house all the camera lens and sensors inside the circle.
Too bad it doesn't look good on other OEMs.

Looks slightly better than previous leaks and renders but I'm still not getting it because I don't like the circular camera design at all. And I'm sure the non-Pro model is going to cost well over $600, which means I'll have to start looking elsewhere now. Too bad because I have been a devoted OnePlus user since 2014.

Aesthetically it looks good, but design-wise it isn't good because it is wasteful. Why?

The internal design of a phone has to be as compact as possible. Placing the cameras in a circle isn't ideal from a geometry standpoint. Also the thickest and most central point of the phone is a line running along the middle (think 1+7 Pro).

So this is a more wasteful design, which means less area for a battery. This means the battery capacity is either smaller, removal of other components, or they're using a more dense battery unit. Based on the leaked specs, it seems the latter is true.

Which means OnePlus could've used a more dense battery in the 1+7 and Pro, so in a sense, they've held back on-purpose (like Apple does) which is a rip-off for current/previous customers. That's bad for enthusiasts but great for big business, and profit-margins.

Is it a substantial challenge to make a phone thick enough so that the camera module (how much ever ugly it may look) is flush with the back of the phone? Having a flush back also means the phone will rest level, and the room for additional battery capacity and/or other components. I'd say, the camera lens should be slightly placed inside so that the lens is not touching a hard surface that the phone is placed at. Sure, a camera lens is scratch-resistant and all that, but hey, it's one additional layer of protection and functional design.

I am only commenting here in a OnePlus news story, but the entire phone industry seems to revel in making one grotesque and nonfunctional design decision after the other. And what was an anomaly soon becomes the norm.

I really like how robust is my OP 6 , the battery it's great as day 1 and Oxygen OS it's a pleasure to use not matter of much apps i keep open it doesn't faze it and keeps being buttery smooth even after 30 days without rebooting and the updates so far are great.
BUT even if i like the product ,the price of the OP6 was already borderline the upward tren of price it's not very appealing to the point that a month ago i was thinking to get an OP7+ for my wife only to find out that i can find a new Samsung S10+ for less, that may be a bit more bloaty software wise but has better overall spec, expansion capabilities and i case something wrong has repair centres and much more support by case a screen protectors makers.

If they keep it anywhere over INR 40K THEN bye bye.... I would rather wait for Xiaomi , Vivo or Rog p2. . Even Huawei with mate 30 pro should keep the prices low to break the Hyperinflated price barrier created by Few High profit earning companies......
Nokia should have stick to 730g In 7.2 to give it some gud support.....Though it's way much better pricing then pixel 3a however the performance will show....

Why don't they just copy Huawei 1 to 1. iPhone, Google and now OnePlus completely destroyed a good looking design.

No wireless charging with the same silly excuse plus quite revolting back design. I pass, thanks.
