Almost all phones have redundancies built into the battery and the software. Like when it depletes to 0% it's usually around 2%, and when you fully charge to 100% it's generally 98%... doing so extends the life of the battery.
You can do your bit to extend the battery by keeping it charged between 10% to 90%, keeping it away from high heat, and trying to charge it in smaller fractions or at a slower rate. I'd be more impressed with the charging rate between that large range of 10% to 90% and this sounds like it will do it in 20 mins with a cable, or 60mins wirelessly. Impressive. But overall, Super-Duper-Fast Charging isn't really bad on the battery health... what depletes it most is the number of cycles. Charging the battery halfway two times is equal to charging it fully once, so it's only a matter of time when the battery degrades.
The expensive high-quality lithium ion units are supposed to do 5,000 cycles and retain over 51% of their capacity, or closer to doing 1,000 cycles (over 3 years?) and retain over 91% of their capacity. However, most of the OEMs now use the cheap stuff, which loses about 30% capacity per year, the flagships use the medium-quality which loses around 15% per year, and very few models (eg/ iPhone SE ?) use the higher-quality stuff that degrades 10% or less per year. That's why Removable Batteries is an important specification, and sealing batteries up allows OEMs to have Planned Obsolescence to increase their sales revenue and profits. And taking that feature away without giving a justification (eg IP68) is anti-consumer move, doubly-so when they also decide to remove the Headphone Jack too. For consumers, that crucial feature allows people to instantly double their battery life when camping or travelling, and ensure their device lasts a decently long lifetime.

This is nothing Apple is including 5 watt chargers in the box for iPhone 11 and ultrafast 10 Watt charger for the max duos.

AnonD-847158, 18 Sep 2019Isn't that going to degrade the battery faster? If you always or frequently having the phone to charge almost all the time, then yes it will degrade the battery and shorten its life expectancy. But if you only charge like once every 1.5 to 2 days or only charge the phone when the battery reaches 0%, you can keep using the battery for like two to four years.

The Chinese really kick. Many people talks about they steal techs and they do, many others do the same.
But the best is, they innovate and make things better.
30w wireless is insane... I love it.
Well done China.

This all goes to wrong direction. Yes, its nice to charge at super warp speed, but essential is, phones last at least longer with one charging.
