Anonymous, 19 Sep 2019I would prefer more RAM but 4GB is enough for an iPhone. An... more4gb will run most droids fine too. It doesn't change the fact that more than that is needed on either os to be completely sufficient and properly survive future updates. And that at the prices they charge that you are paying for more ram and other things while simply not receiving it. And it's done completely on purpose.
It means more profit for them.
And until recently when they had no choice but to bump up ram, base storage, and battery capacity that these things limited iphones in numerous ways. Saved them money. And made more money through expensive repairs and upgrades due to faster degradation or bogging down.

And that's the point. Apple has been ripping people off because they can. They can because there is no shortage of essily manipulated people like you that not only "don't care", but even go as far as to defend their dirty actions and attack people for stating the truth.

This video will prove you wrong. 3.5mm jack isn't obsolete FGS. It's still used HEAVILY by the audio industry. We may be nerdy, but we know where 3.5mm jack is still being used on. Please get your facts right before rebutting us.

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2019The only remaining place Apple is lagging behind is in the ... moreIt's not only that software is optimized. Android is based on java and basically making one code meant to run on different machine. The extra layer of virtualization makes apps not run natively but rather in a virtual environment making a simple app take almost twice as much RAM (the overhead is at 35-50% memory depending on app). So technically iPhone does not really need more RAM, you rarely see a situation where RAM is the problem.

You want the jack then get a low-end or mid-range smartphone because those are the type of devices that sell very well in countries like India where people can't afford true wireless tech. Smartphone companies are well aware of that, that's why they flood those markets with such devices, sometimes multiple instances of the same device. Heck, even Samsung got rid of it on their flagships and only offer it on their cheaper models lol. Be real and logical for once people.

Meanwhile the Apple iP... moreThe only remaining place Apple is lagging behind is in the RAM department and that's ok for now because their software is really optimized and efficient. The build quality of their hardware is unbeatable, their SoC is the fastest and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, and their software updates and after-sales support are totally unmatchable. Like I said I can wait for Apple to redesign or improve iOS, I'm a patient person lol.
