3969mah is not surprising for 226 grams and 8.1mm thickness just look at Note10+ with 4300mah at 7.9mm thickness and just 196 grams weight!

Apple is however notorious for playing the victim role when they scam the buyers.

Main complaint I see about the older iPhone 6 is that the battery is crap. Xr is praised about the good battery!

Note 10 plus and one plus 7 pro killed the iPhone xs max on performance and speed tests. Apple still refuses to upgrade the RAM. iPhone with 4gb of ram struggles to reload apps on multitasking. It's embarrassing an $1100 phon4 do that

The main advantages of the iPhone are the 7nm+ manufacturing process (which the 865 will be based on), and the almost 1080p display. The 855 was more efficient than the A12 though based on Anandtech testing, so I don't see how the 11 pro max to beat the zenfone 6 with a mammoth 5000 mAh.

If true, this is good news, it means Apple is getting more serious and competing harder in the industry.
However, I still want to point out that this phone is +9% larger than Samsung's, yet the battery capacity is still -3% smaller. So it would've been even better to hear that the capacity was actually 4,500mAh, as that would put them in the frontline and on-par with other competitors.
But then again, this runs a much more optimised Operating System, the Apps run on a code that is more native and closer to the lower layers, and is built using higher quality and efficient components. Those factors alone would push its performance past the Samsung S10 and Note10 variants, the Pixel 4XL, the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Lenovo Z6 variants, and the ASUS Zenfone 6. Heck, it might even be competitive against the RoG Phone 2.

Apple finally joins the big battery boys! Now it'll be interesting to see how it fares well against the other 4000mAh flagships in the battery department now that the playing field has been levelled. That's a seriously big upgrade.
