Every chinese phone could be given dual-boot option (Android + Harmony OS). Wish Microsoft had done that.

It's sad that the Android ecosystem and operating system may not be on the new Huawei's, but, Google has become the most powerful and dangerous tech company in the world. They own Google search and Email, YouTube and Android, and between those platforms, there is Nobody they do not spy on and Nothing they cannot Influence.
I think more companies should move out of the Android ecosystem. There shojld always be alternatives. If Huawri grows their ecosystem and keeps it's open source, they could eventually provide a good alternative to Google.

Hats of to Huawei for launching the Mate 30. As of now i am still not sure as to what OS will support the device. Assuming that there is no google in it, it still wont be as issue for them as the expectations of huge volumes wont be there. What i appreciate with Huawei is that they didn't bow completely to the US pressure and had always had a back up plan.
For all who think launching an OS is a piece of cake, please change your thought process. Its easy though to comment on a negative tone very easily as this doesnt take time and you dont need any specific talent. But to think way forward you need to have a talent especially when you are in troubled waters.
Huawei may have taken a set back now, but for sure they will come out of it soon. When they do the game chnages.

One hope with their own Harmony OS is they adopt and Apple like system of support.
