viewing images and videos and reading about camera tech is MORE INTERESTING than reading cores and benchmarks.

I mean, the phone is not supposed to replace your SLR camera after all.

rubbish,if i had to take photos with a phone i know i don't want suplementary work resampling/cropping..etc.my other brand phone makes excellent photos, and even better quality than this samples.for zooming, large printing,cropping,resampling/photoshop,etc,i will use a dslr.i will not being sarcastic but Carl zeiss plastic/glass used in phones are way too expensive and is a marketing gimmick, others are doing just fine at a fraction of that cost.i'm not a fan of very large number of pixels resampled to make a average photo.everybody can do the same this day but nokia mannaged a way to trick a lot of people with few knowledges of electronics.it's like i am an mechanic engineer and a pharmacist reccomends me a product with same active components as a very cheap one, with a very high price, because it has a nice package and a complicated name(and 10 times ''better'').

                        Geniune question here...

I'm a big fan of the tech / camera, but not of the actual handset...

With such a low-res screen (640x320) will you actually be able to tell if a photo is too noisy / etc. - and be able to make that judgement whether to take again / edit - or will you have to wait until you get onto a PC with a decent screen resolution?

It just seems the biggest oversight ever, to give a picture / camera focused phone such a poor, poor screen resolution...

Surely something like this deserves a 720p screen...

But I guess the lower the resolution, the lower specs it needs to function... Any higher and I suspect it would be laggy like the N8 was and that's presumably what they're trying to avoid...

The problem with this handset is... who's it going to appeal to? It lacks the resolution / specs / OS / apps to perform as a true smartphone, yet camera-wise it lacks optical zoom / picture quality / features / screen - meaning it can't be seriously considered by real camera fans...

I think it's going to struggle this one, just like the N8 - which LOOKED amazing in the flesh and on paper, but in reality, sold poorly and had more than its fair share of issues...

Ah, this is quite exquisite. Nokia invented something extraordinary again. But shall we face the fact, even the gorgeous, inventive N9 had failed in the market, despite the big hype from the audience. Therefore, I'm not quite sure with this one...

Hello, those shots are of very good quality but clearly more noisy than the previously shown ones which I doubt came from the 808. (the climber shots are almost noise free and without any chromatic aberration contrary to those ones).
The only 808 "signature" in all those shots is that the lower left corner is softer than the rest of the image.
