I am really fed up with the fans where ever I go.
They are just supporting one direction and mess every page with useless posts.
it became hard these days to find useful informations across all of these useless posts.
I think blogs and web sites should do something towards that...

AnonD-24543, 02 Mar 2012Surely a bigger resolution could be quite useful for the sp... moreAnd this is exactly my issue with this...
It's a good camera, a great camera by mobile phone standards, but not enough to replace a standard point-and-shoot digital camera, and yet, that very feature looks like it's compromised the screen resolution, making it quite a cumbersome mobile phone (for viewing things like web pages, etc.)
I think it's trying to be jack of all trades, master of none...but failing in both regards...
Don't get me wrong, would love to see this camera on a Lumia 900, I'd be VERY tempted then to jump ship...but as it stands, it's too 'mid-range' and too 'middle of the road' for the asking price... and with the dying Symbian on it... It simply can't convert people who have already invested money on apps for other OS' (like iOS, Android, Winmo)..
Good luck to them with this, because I really hope we see this feature in future phones!!

It's amazing how illiterate some people who comment on these articles are, both in terms of reading the article and understanding that these images are crops of 38mp images (so no oversampling to reduce noise)and also in expressing their thoughts about said photos...

[deleted post]No. You fail!
Can't you read that these samples are from a cropped 38MP image? That means, no oversampling applied. In this mode, the image result is good, but other cameraphone can made it too.
Try to compare your SGS2 image result with oversampled 5MP result of 808 PureView. And ask the professional while at it.

[deleted post]haha another noob.. let me try to explain it to you...
a picture of a very large area was taken, and the images you see are a very small portion of it, which was cropped from the original image after zooming..

lmfao.... Silly android fanboys. The 808 camera is about 50 times better than the pos module found on the galaxy nexus, which can't even take a photo that isn't overexposed and blurry as hell.
