Well without any even the tiniest doubt its a best phone out on the market and all other competitors and their flagships were left in the dust.
No apple, No google pixel, No samsung, sony, LG etc can compete to this beauty.
Compared to mate 30 pro all phones which were unveiled until now are nothing but a china made toys worth like that.

haha yeah LG is hardly a OEM and had a last year design that had improved the design of the notch in just 1 year better than Apple huge notch , the phone does have three ways to unlock with apple's Face ID yeah Face ID with Small notch , if with what you say "LG still with last year design" so what do we say about apple design the year before last year ??
I agree with you with slow software update , they still sell (on launch) at a price lower than apple so what still high?

Problem for USA, Google and Mr. Trump is, next years Huawei will go unbound with their crappy country (usa) and then no one can hurt their products sales and than what we do ? Regred the google-huawei ban ? It will be way way too late.
Big makers apple samsung (google as well with pixel) xiaomi nokia sony lg everybody will be and must be pretty scared already for the future.
mate30pro prooves huawei won't let down and go for low and middle category phones. they will, stick and do the best high end phones. period. without google is worse for usa mostly, in 1-2 years max. mark my words.

Does the SuperSensing Wide camera of the Mate 30 (non Pro) have OIS? The specsheet and image of presentation says 'no'. The text by gsmarena says "both have" (Tele and Main camera).

It's still above a little bit. Even Samsung has option to downscale to FHD+ on the display option of Note 10+ to increase battery life and graphic perfomance (for gaming maybe). More than 400 ppi is very sharp except u use VR pheriperal on this phone.
About Apple SoC perfomance, they do benchmark on difference OS so the frame work and the system multitasking is so different. Just look at the real test speed on Mate 20 Pro vs Xs series speed test on the video compare.

great looking phone, but a bit too many compromises for a EUR1100 phone (stereo sound, display, memory, lack of headphone jack, google play services). Will def sell in huge numbers in Asia, good numbers in Europe and 0 in US.

Design is thought out really well.
Both, the waterfall screen and that huge camera island which will most likley require most of the cases to have a huge gaping hole for it will help you to make your phone unique. As soon as your phone drops, you'll have some unique patterns on it that no otherphone has, depending on your luck, your photos might become artistic.
Amazing how well Huawei engineers thought that out!

So everything put on camera, but camera is not everything on a phone. Chipset will be behind exynos and snapdragon once new flagship with next gen chipsets will come out, no google service but prices are again ridicolous, looks like Huawei downfall accelerates even further

And iPhone has unrivaled proccessing speed and smooth, fluid and stable OS.
Not to mention that both, iPhone and Samsung are regulary demolishing Huawei when it comes to video Quality... and now there's also a problem with Google Apps. Do some research before posting...
