They could make 2 button areas locked for gaming trough software selection. Similar to bumpers on game controllers.

I don't think those people who buy the mate series or iphones are people who really care about the jack though. All they want is to get the latest device that really suits their preferences (such as camera, design) and also brands.
Truth be told, I am kinda annoyed with manufacturers ditching the earphone jack today. I'm using xperia 1 as my daily driver which doesn't have any earphone jack either. I do use bluetooth TWS earphone when I'm out (don't like to use headphone since it's bulky and kinda pain to bring it around). But I must say, when I'm home, I prefer to use the wired earphone more than the wireless one. Apart from the better latency and sound quality, a lot of wireless earphones or headphones have bad microphone (except the expensive one)

On a lot of headphones, you cannot change it. On yours, yeah. But on mine? No. And for the majority of people, it's the same thing. So stop being a smartass

Those palm rejection can continuously drain your battery then there is a option to disable it which mostly people preferred and then its same.

LG Superfan, 21 Sep 2019If they removed double tap it would make changing volume easierBut if they remove double tap, then every time you hold the phone it will adjust the volume. Removing physical buttons is not a good idea unless they got a better replacement.

XTR, 21 Sep 2019Well unfortunately, a lot of true wireless bluetooth headse... moresuggestion for this- there are apps available for android that allows you to remap the buttons on twses- like one press, two presses, and hold. i use it together with automation apps like ifttt to simply open the app when i connect my twses, and then close it when i disconnect.

and if using wired/bluetooth headsets, then it comes with volume rocker anyway.
you don't need to get your phone to turn up/down the volume.
i am using a bluetooth headset, and i change volumes from there, not in the phone.
get it? - stop whining!

Huawei, learn from us, we have that feature before we even have full screen. We implemented it with our pencils and thumb rejection when touch. like iPhone x or ipads.
A tip: the issue is not with your hardware, but with the unoptimised os called Android. even note 9 /10 have bad touch rejection even with features like ignore unintended touches.
- with love from Apple.
