The phone is surprisingly hard to break, but it picks up scratches easily.

It is an inverse relationship and basic high school science. The material has to be soft enough to bend. R&D has been devoted to improving the flexibility of the material such that it can withstand the hundreds of thousands of folds that we subject the phone to during its lifetime. You can criticise the product but cannot deny that Samsung has done its bit for smartphone innovation.

Amoled screens are extremely thin since their old years of burn in. Samsung only took the screen and put a plastic bendable cover and called it a day. It's actually a tablet that can bend.
If they really invested so much on it they wouldn't recall it and postpone the release. They rushed it, and it clearly shows thanks to the horrible durability

You have no idea what you are talking about, Huawei doesn't make screens let alone AMOLED screens, thus they "Huawei" did not steal it, the screens are outsourced from BOE.

It's not for everyone. There are lots of people , who can spend 2000$ without any second thought and it's aimed for them. Samsung invested billions, 8+ years of r&d into it and not like some Chinese companies who loves to steal tech. People cry for innovation but cannot face the flaws appear during innovations.
