The phone is surprisingly hard to break, but it picks up scratches easily.

I still have my factory screen protector on my s10+ to keep the screen safe. I just couldn't deal with such a fragile device with to way to protect it.

I would definitely wouldn't buy such foldable devices at least not in the next 10 or so years. This barely deserves even 30 euros to pay for such devices even less than 30 this is definitely unfinished projects just get started.

'The panel even got scratched by a fingernail.'

            Wow. Good luck with that.

The fact that sand & dust can so easily enter the hinge and permanently damage it is a major cause for concern. Unless you live in a completely dust-free environment, you're very likely to end up with a damaged hinge due to dust finding it's way into it. Then there's all the scratches on the plastic display itself too, which can't be avoided as you can't apply any external screen protector on the display.

I would suggest waiting for the second or third generation foldables instead of buying the current ones, as those will likely improve on these durability aspects. Just a suggestion.
