Xperia 1 low is impressive too, this is the low light comparison not the extreme low light comparison as you post up the links. Let's you know the extreme low light must looks realistic as Xperia 1 not the iPhone 11 and if you want be a "Creator" there is a sini Cinealta that can do a lot of things. Tell me which you take photo mostly? Extremely low light or low light? Xperia 1 low light is impressive should you give any kudos to Sony (as the Sony fans)

I never said i love those 'fake bokeh'. But whatever it is, other competition did it a lot better than current Sony's fake bokeh 'background defocus', just like a fail flat cut and paste. And again, whatever it is, Huawei doesnt even need those 'fake bokeh' as its sensor are bigger and creates more natural bokeh both in photography & videography than any Sony Xperia till date, its a scientific facts. Deal with it. Still has my Fuji X-E3 if i want to take full benefits of it. But bokeh is not everything.

U believe in Pixel's Peepers before right? Guess what? Iphone 11 just beats Xperia 1 in low lights - https://youtu.be/EN_QRpirDeU
He even admits it. So u wanna say he's bias now? Paid by apple? Videos sucks badly compare to it. Typical blind fanboys.

Until Sony can make their cameras right, i will keep critized it. Thats it. This is my last reply to u on this thread. Continue that ego of yours.

You are the big mouth person that always says you are Sony fans but keep stuck at my "satay" photo, those YouTube reviews are free you can read news and new phones from Sony, why you keep remind the Z2. While you keep praising Huawei as your primary goal.

Its laughable. Thats why its useless to me. Improve your knowledge & skills first, then we can talk.

By the way i just trade my Sony RX100 vi with Fujifilm X-E3, which suits me more, bigger sensor, sharp lens & got that cinematic film look. Couldnt be any happier. Fuji called as 'poor man's Leica' for a reason. Very satisfied & fulfill my taste.

Learn more about cinematic film photography please. Thats what Leica, Ricoh & Fujifilm is all about. There are those people prefer that looks than just a natural look, keep that in mind. Obviously Huawei & Sony targetting on different type of consumers. (Well overblown highlights & crushed shadows on Xperia 1 is not natural anyway).

Those mainstream just increase the color more and more to looks punchy but they fail to be natural.

S Yu, 24 Sep 2019The guy above put it a similar way as I would, Sony definit... moreTo my eyes, Xperia 1 RAW noise reductions are great in terms of details preservation (previous Xperia got worse oversharpening level), but letdown by the sharpening added in software image processing (ringing halos almost in every images, except macro), it just hurt my eyes (but Samsung hurts me more). They already use sharp Zeiss lens, why add more sharpness? I've heard that some firmware updates fix those along with a bit of oversaturate, but dont know for sure. To be honest, all smartphone are oversharp compare to actual camera because on the tiny sensor, and for the sake of social media. What matters are the sharpness level they added, which to me Xperia 1 still apparent (Nokia 9 in Auto are the worse for me, P20 Pro early software are close).

I can confirm theres no way P30 Pro are more oversharpening than early P20 image software. In fact the processing quite mature (Mate 30 series using new RAW noise reduction on newer ISP, easily the best smartphone to date in terms of details preservation, without looking oversharpening). What it lacks are a bit dull color but Mate 30 kinda fix it in new EMUI 10.

About the Leica color mode 'smooth' & 'vivid', its not just JPEG filters, its processing the whole image before JPEG output.

Shui8, 24 Sep 2019Your interpretation are differ from mine. In standard mode,... moreThe guy above put it a similar way as I would, Sony definitely has more detail, true detail.
P30P never caught up in terms of true detail, but its sharpening seems a notch above P20P because of the discarded color data due to the RYYB, it "bleaches" certain details/object edges white for what's similar (but less sophisticated and subtle) to a clarity boost, or to put it in more general terms, just more sharpening. Use 100% saturation boosts, twice, in PS, on P30P JPGs and any non-P30P JPG in comparison to isolate the bleached portions.
The Note10 series is a fail in terms of imaging, it's worse than the S10 series and generally smears more, not a move in the right direction.
I'm not aware of another JPG filter and I don't think it's caught the attention of most reviewers either, so no comment on that.

When Huawei phones had their own identity.

Huawei does oversharpening, which I found it on the whatsapp group, because the social media shrink down the size of the image but Huawei (Mate 20) is much sharper than any other, I can't image the original file size it must be sharper than view from the whatsapp group and the color is unappealing, it does pop up certain color it is artificial than natural look..

Sony has more details/textures, samsung smear the details/textures. They do a little sharper there but Sony has more details/textures show up but Samsung turn into plastic looks.
