Watch them release a Mix Alpha 2 without the black stripe but a pop up camera, and charge you $4.000 because this is alien level technology and would blow your mind if you tried to comprehend.

Litterary whole phone is bought from foxconn which is chinese.
Huawei uses great screens.
Samsung uses great screens and like 1/3 or maybe 1/2 of their phones are completely made in china so again is like china made phone.
Even Alpha for 2500 got samsung screens.

But for those can't even see the difference between 1080 and 4K they definitely can't see the difference between 1080 and 8K because they can't notice the difference just like a tea.. a green tea.. a high tea.. Their taste is just tea.... Hence they are Average Joe have "wood" (good) experience.

- CPU has to support 8K
- sensor has to support 8K also has at least 32MP in 16:9 ratio.
- no phone can deal with that heat, most brands even put 10 min limits for 4K 30 using less than 48Mbps.

Just need to be a bit bigger to get that 33.2 MP in pixel binning mode, or upscale. It will be interesting to see how they solve it :-)

Not against any aspect of mobile tech's progress. This being said, of late since the past couple of years I'm getting seriously perplexed by this purely focused on imaging/video arms race in smartphones frankly it's ridiculous.
Why? It's as if 90% of the flagship phone market are made solely of "pro" photo/videographers who also happen to be "social media influencers"? Are there any actual empirical evidence to back this number? And for what? Higher PPI output re-compressed and re-scaled per social media apps' upload metric?
Thousand dollar phones that's still unable to give us a true "PDA - personal digital assistant" in a converged way e.g you go back home, just place the phone on a specific wireless dock then boom auto desktop mode where you can then seamlessly continue to work with a proper monitor or flat desk screen with the necessary IO tools. Only Samsung it seems are serious about their DeX mode, the rest? "Woah hey check out out our gazillon MP ALL cameras with quadruple lenses!"
"Smart"-wise we're losing the ROI value at the rate things are going...

Heck, even the S10 and Note10 are still restricted to 4K60fps maximum despite using the aforementioned Exynos chipset. But then again, they only have 12MP camera. So for 8k30fps to become a supported feature on current flagships, it needs a mammoth of a camera as you said in your comment. We won't be seeing native sensor as pixel binning is all the craze now, so a Quad Bayer sensor would make sense.

They call it courage when this is business strategy. Removing magsafe. I asure you at least 1000 macbooks where broken because of not having magsafe port. Knowing apple repair prices at least 600 000$ for every 1000 macbooks. Wireless headphones cost 160$ hwo much does cost wired? OH you can't use wired because COURAGE :D

Fhd, 4K, 8K, it's as if comparing output from realme Xt 2mp macro camera, p30 10mp main camera and mix alpha 27mp output. Though the last one is hard to imagine, difference should be obvious. More real.

Watching 8K video on a 6inch screen is same equivalent as buying diet water in shop because the plain one from home sink had too much calories in it.
Even 4k or 2K is complete waste on such a small screen not even person responsible for radar on largest public airport in the world wont spot any difference on such a small screen.
Onlly size of cinema wall makes visible differences between 4k and 8K video.
And only TVs with size of 42 inches and more makes visible differences between 2k and 4k video.
So again 8k recording on a 6 inch screen will drain your battery ultra fast and will be usefull as a snowball maker, or umbrella for shoes, or butterstick, or usb pet rock, walking sleeping bag etc.
