Simon, 27 Sep 2019It's funny how different the US market has become from the ... moreAnd yet the U.S. market still has a major influence on the rest of the world, maybe because they're the first to jumpstart this whole smartphone industry and most, if not all, of the major software comes from there. And we all know that whatever Apple does the rest of the industry follows, maybe they're not always the first to do it but they do accelerate the process of other companies adopting the tech they're using. The fingerprint sensor and facial recognition are good examples.

Kunal Raj, 27 Sep 2019"People in the west dont care anymore" Dude, u just confirm... moreThat's right, they don't care anymore because they have much better and more convenient solutions. Internal flash storage is waaay faster than slow and unreliable microSD cards, which were more relevant back when smartphones had very low internal storage space. And wireless headphones and earphones are getting closer and closer to their wired counterparts in terms of audio quality, it's only a matter of time before they match or exceed that obsolete tech. The convenience of not dealing with tangled wires and whatnot is more important than a minute difference in audio quality. The average person can't tell the difference anyway and most people aren't nerdy audiophiles. It's not hype, it's just the natural progression of things.

Apple will never include a pop-up/flip-up/sliding/rotating camera because they know they are total gimmicks lol. Mechanical moving parts aren't reliable and are prone to damage and breakage and they feel lower level. Don't you think they're capable of coming up with a more practical solution with their billions and billions of dollars, whereas Chinese smartphone companies are throwing random things against the wall to see what'll stick? And the words Apple and impractical don't go hand-in-hand, they think things through and properly prepare and test their products before releasing said products to the general public.

And even if Zaomi, Hooway, and other Chinese smartphone companies not named OnePlus were available for purchase here Americans still wouldn't buy it over more established brands like Apple, Samsung, and Google. Their names alone are cringeworthy and would dissuade people from buying them. Nobody is going to tell their family and friends that they're using a copycat device with a weird sounding name that they can't even pronounce.

And you can forget about Hooway, they lost any and all trust and credibility with the American government and its people, and their reputation is damaged far beyond repair after getting caught so many times with their hand in the proverbial cookie jar. Their smartphones, telecommunication equipment, and other products and services are not only banned in the U.S. but in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan too. Other countries like the UK, France, and Germany have implemented limited bans, tighter regulations, and prudent safeguards. Besides, their smartphones aren't all that great to begin with since they don't use Snapdragon SoCs and their newest Krillin SoC still uses old A76 cores. Android is definitely more inefficient, I don't want to go into detail but you can Google it and find out for yourself. Hint: Java running on top of Linux. And please don't compare iPhone cameras to crappy mid-rangers lol. The rear cameras are far more important than front-facing camera(s) anyway. The rest of what you said is based on software limitations, Apple can change it anytime they want like they did with the introduction of iPadOS. I can only hope their software will get less restrictive over time. It still doesn't change the fact that at its core iOS far more efficient, refined, and polished than Android will ever be because of the way it's built from the ground up. There isn't much Google can do about it now, which is why they're developing another mobile OS: Fuchsia. I can't even pronounce that sh!t so I call it fuska lol.

Apple isn't as popular in India compared to cheaper Android alternatives for one reason and one reason only and that's, you guessed it, price! You know it, I know it, and the whole world knows it. You can try to come up all kinds of ridiculously clever excuses but when it comes down to it the average Indian would choose an iPhone over an Android smartphone in a heartbeat if the price wasn't a determining factor. Indian purchasing power is way lower than American or European countries, which could explain why it's so much more expensive in countries like India and China. Anyway, you should've seen the looks I got when I had an iPhone in my hand over there. I mean it's just a simple smartphone, a basic tool to get things done, but to normies it's like a Ferrari or Lambo or something haha. I guess the rarer something is the more perceived value it has. FYI it wasn't my iPhone but a family members lol.

Before buying these I would try listening to others for comparison like the Sony WF-1000XM3 which are probably the best true wireless headphones you can buy right now.

Other headphone manufacturers are avalable like:
AKG, Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, B&W, Bose, Cambridge Audio, Dynaudio, Focal, Grado, Jaybird, Klipsch, Paradigm, Revel & Sony.
I'm Shure I've missed some out, but that's enough for now.

T-Dizzle, 27 Sep 2019The article is about popularity, not quality.Again, according to THIS survey Sony isn't the best. Do you not know how to read and comprehend a basic sentence?

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 27 Sep 2019But Sony has the best ones... :< actually the Jaybird Vista are the best ones -- well one of the better ones. But although the air pod may not be the best, it's not the worst. It is a decent pair and it connects and integrates with the iPhone slightly better than other brands - you get a cool animation when connected - lol . I still prefer the bose soundsport and the jay bird vista because of comfort and sound quality

Whatever Apple brings, it's up to you as the consumer to choose to accept it or not, blaming others for their choice is just pitiful.

You don't like what Apple does or their fans liking it, why you commenting/bashing for? Its not like it'll affect your purchase decisions anyway, you're obviously a fandroid. Guess you need a new hobby other than ranting away

Btw those techno ignorants are probably instagram models and hot babes/guys so insult them away and stick with the nerds mate, i'm sure you'd be popular at parties.

John, 27 Sep 2019Consumer Report stated that the Galaxy Buds were by far the... moreActually now Airpods 2 battery life is improved. wireless charging case that fits gen 1 and gen2.

Plus auto ear detection, that further save up on battery. Galaxy buds lacks that, having you to press the pause button. plus 5 mins charge up can last you longer. So basically if you swap and listen on one pods for 5 min each for 1 hr interval, you can basically last over 24hrs.

Airpods shift between apple watch / iPhone / Macs. So you don't even need to pair or remember to pair all your devices, as its sync across iCloud.

As for the rest of the features, casual people find it acceptable, and no other earphones are better paired with iDevices. So yeah.. its good for them.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2019Because besides all this, it still works. In a car, wir... more"Because besides all this, it 'still' works."

-Yup, because whatever Apple brings, you just have to accept it.

Carplay is most preferred? In what? In America, and only by Apple users, ofc.
Airpods is the best way to listen to music on the move? You must be joking. It only has one size and it easily falls off of one's ears. The only thing that's going for it is its compatibility to Apple devices, other than that, it provides nothing special compared to its competition. Ofc, owners of Apple devices would tend buy to Apple accesories, that's all there is to it. The same goes to Apple watch, iPad, Mac, etc.; you need to own only their products, and just accept what Apple brings, whether good or bad, because you have no other choice, you're bound to them.

What are you talking about? Most devices that exist in midrange to flagship almost have all the features, they are only differentiable by their display, sizes of things, performance, and build. It's all about choices, which is not applicable to Apple devices other than variants.

In terms of sales, maybe, but in terms of innovation, not. Apple is the one that plays catch up with its competition. They only provide incremental upgrades to their products and intentionally hold off hardware for future upgrade; they just instead provide them with wacky and memeable features in terms of design and software and/or give a ridiculous pricetag like what the monitor stand has($1000) for them to gather more attention. Apple deliberately does all of that, because most of their sheeps are tech ignorants and would be contented anyway.

the one who dnt know what is sound quality - they use apple shitpods
the one who know the real value of music and its every single beats they use SONY the great

90% of people are cluless regarding sound quality. Especially iPhone users wich ar totally cluless in every aspects. So they buy what they see at other people, buy what they think is 100% compatible with their iPhone. Most of them use Apple Earpods just for calls, less for music.

                          Things that marketing can do..
These earphones are just bad but people be like ohh I want apple airpods..

Consumer Report stated that the Galaxy Buds were by far the best earbuds. The iphone earbuds finished on 49th. place of 60+tested earbuds.

The Galaxy Buds are far better than the Apple airpods according to Consumer Report.
Because apple owners are willing to spend more on accessoires the airpods were sold a lot more. Not because they are popular.

                              Bs article.

In a car, wireless CarPlay is the most preferred means.
On the move, AirPods still best way to listen to music.
On the wrist, Apple watch still surpass other smart watches.
At home, iPad still rules media consumption
At work, nothing beats Mac in terms of software compatibility, it runs windows, linux, macOS everything. no productive softwares are left out.

Rivals have little to offer, only selling point is "price". And their products are fragmented to say the least, some with NFC, some without, some with slots, some without jack.. some with removable batteries.. some with notch, all with chins. Need PC? turn to Microsoft instead of Google's ChromeOS.

So to save the hassle, just walk into an Apple store, solve your needs. Done. Of course only if you have $$$. And many people have $$$ :) Cringey? Yes... but nothing you can do about it. Unless Google and their phone makers offers a TRUE killer deal, there's nothing that can be done. But as far as i can see, Google / Android is only playing catch up on what Apple is doing, try to push "a bit" more.. and offer cheap cheap price.

I see quite a few AirPods around..
Apple have done a good job with them, they're quite popular where I live.

Kunal Raj, 27 Sep 2019Of course, that is their local product. You should have wro... morepeople in the US has a higher wage rate than some of the asian countries, that is why majority of the people there can afford the iphone. that also is true in HK, SG, taiwan, japan, majorty of the people there can afford a very premium phone because of their wages.

compared that to countries with lower wages rate like india, PH, indonesia, thailand, vietnam... the best selling phones there would be the low end to mid range phones because that is the only phone majority of the people there can afford base on wage rate. only the elite on that country can buy the high end phones.

just look at the country like japan, SG, HK, taiwan, US, UK, germany, france, some parts of EU most people there are using iphones. heck in SG, taiwan, HK people who are working as a sales person or a cashier on a small shop, are using iphones

its about what a person can afford base on his wages. you can even try it those low wage country and experiment where you give them a phone for free and let them choose between an iphone and a high end android phone, i guessing majority of those people will choose an iphone.
