[deleted post]I can't forget - I have a p30 pro and huawei is way more subsidized by the European operators than Samsung and Apple. I renews my contract and got the p3o pro for 550 euro with a free official case. For reference, if I wanted to buy an S10+ upon renewal I had to pay 200 euro more or 350 euro more for an iphone XS. And I could have literally bought 2 p30 pros for the proce of one iphone xs max.

And Samsung really needs to do something with the processing of the wide-angle camera as it holds up only on a small screen. As soon as you zoom in and its ridiculously overprocessed and smeared

Apple's color science is really nice, but the detail and sharpness of the Huawei on all three lenses is impressive. It's Night Mode is also fantastic, with the iPhone just barely losing out imo. The Note however, it needs work to say the least. It's colors are fine, but starting out with natural is the way to go. The Night Mode isn't amazing, but decent. In general, it definitely loses out to the colors and dynamic range of the iPhone and to the sharpness and clarity of the Huawei.

Damn, the mate 30 pro is killing it in the daylight. Just zoom in on the grass - it is leaps and bounds ahead of the pastel paintings that the iphone and the galaxy produce both (granted the iphone has become kinda decent) in all three cameras. It's not even close. I have a p30 pro and these look way better although for some reason the mate 30 pro seems to be performing worse in low light situations.

Incomplete review/comparison. 80% of the pics taken with smartphones are of human subjects. I don't see even at least one comparison. As cameras tend to handle skin tones , softening of skin(some phones) differently, this comparison failed to address that. Please take a note of this to include human subjects in future comparisons

It would be nice to see a tripod comparison with the portrait cameras in low-light. Phones can detect a tripod, then the results of the portrait/tele cameras should be great in low-light.

Not completely correct because it also depends on the f-number. Furthermore being able to gather more light doesn't mean that it really does capture more light because this also depends on the exposure time.

smartphone cameras are for simple things, so dont pretend that overpriced phones take "dsrl photos" or marketing sh1t like that to sell junk. smartphones doesnt have to cost more than 400 bucks, my xiaomi k20 pro cost me 300 dollars only!

It would have been interesting to compare the Mate 30 Pro at 50mm (2x zoom). Not really a perfect comparison when Apple and Samsung are compared at 50mm and the Mate 30 Pro at 80mm.

Gsmarena, it would be nice to see some 40 megapixel images of the Mate 30 Pro ultra wide angle camera. As the ultra wide angle camera has a very large 50mm² sensor (the main camera has 40mm²), the 40 megapixel images should have less noise in perfect light conditions than the 40 megapixel images of the main camera. So the 40 megapixel images of the ultra wide angle camera could be quite good.

I have to go with the iPhone 11 Pro. While I greatly appreciate Samsung's vibrant and vivid colors, the realistic colors of the iPhone get me (almost) every time. Compared to the Pixel 4... hmm, I think it'll be tough, but I'll have to wait and see.

Not enough pic for me to make a complete decision. But what really surprises me is the de-oversharpened pics of the Huawei. In the olden days especially for the P20 Pro and the Mafe 20 Pro, that waterpainting-like effect is visible. Not the same story for the Mate 30 Pro.
But like I said just now, I wouldn't pick the overall winner because there isn't enough pic to do some proper justification.

iPhone 11 Pro photos look more appealing for me. Consistency of the photos is a must. Don't like to miss a moment. Also considering how good iPhones hold the price in general and re-sale price value, the choice is obvious.
