I can get why someone would like the feel, but personally still keep a case on. People will do what they wish even if it’s not smart.

If i have for example Apple Iphone 11 Max pro for 1200 how a case for 10 could be expensive for me???
Noone gave that phone for free and having a good case to protect that expensive device from even more costly repair is only logical.
But i understand that some people dont have or dont use brain but i dont understands why.

Could be for least hassle, wanting the latest and greatest, a great camera, iOS long term updates, reputation, or just have the money and want to treat themselves. Like I said, people like us who want to budget and use our money for more important things are not the same people who are buying these phones with either not a care or care about phones enough to want or need the latest and greatest.

I have a theory that Google don't care about their phone design and are not actually hoping to sell too many. Google is a software company first and foremost and they don't want to get too involved with hardware except perhaps smart speakers where you are feeding there servers data, but any android phone with the Google assistant will also feed there servers so phones aren't that important to them. The pixels were a good way to show off it's computational photography, just enough people buy it to prove it, now we have software marketable at the enterprise level with proof it works. This next pixel is about motion control, AI, live captions, project duplex...all software, sell a few pixel as proof it works and now they can market that at the enterprise level. We are not the customer that Google is targeting. We are just here to prove proof of concept. And lastly with selling their own phones, even in limited numbers when the Anti-trust brigade come a knocking they can say "Hey we are putting our software on our devices, but we are also sharing it..free to any other company that wants is....unlike that closed off fruity company over there...go harass them."

At half of Janua... moreSome people don't put covers and/or cases on their phones. For example I don't put on screen protectors. Considering my case is spigen and has an edge all around the screen and that the glass is pretty scratch resistant, I found screen protectors offering little to no protection. Sometimes I go without the case too to show the phone's mirror beauty, like work meetings and such bull..
Little scratches? Yes they do happen rarely but I learn to live with them. It's a phone after all.

We have to wait and see.
At half of January i had a customer in my store a beauty with a nsme Victoria from Texas which is far from Slovakia and her Pixel 1 died and she was looking for repair but google phones arent available in Slovakia so she bought A2 by xiaomi due to good enough camera and clean android.
But her first questionwas if we can fix her phone and the second was if i know any place where he can by the successor of google pixel.
Even i like many brands which sells great phones for correspopnding price but i cant understand people which are willing to pay 1000 or 1500 euros for device which manufacturing cost were 200 to 400.
Whats confuses me more if a customer comes to our stores with for example Iphone for 1200 or 1500 eur and looking for a case and when i tell him that case cost 10 eur he/she will ask if we dont have for sale something for 1-3 eur.
Please someone educate me and explain me how people finds 1000+ euros for top end Samsung, Sony, Apple etc flagship but cant find 10 eur for the cheapest possible cover or glass screen protector etc.
