Euhm.. SD425 isn't that an error.
The redmi 7 has a SDM632 which is much better than the SDM439.
From the specs alone IMHO the redmi 8a isn't a sufficient upgrade over the 7 and it's even worse compared to this Redmi 8. While between the redmi 7 and 7a is a significant difference (screen size, SoC, camera's)
The redmi 8 has a worse main camera (coupled with that useless 2mp portrait crap) but a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Everything else is the same as the 7a (screen size, battery, SoC, comms etc...). Fuck this, that CA73 from the Redmi 7 is much better than these milked-to-bones ridiculous A53's (yet again!!!!).
For god's sake these goddamn Cortex-ARM53's have been around since late 2012! Can we please STOP using them! Besides despite all these smartphones having (most of) the same internals with regards to SoC you, dumbass manufacturers, don't provide updates beyond 1 year for these "low end" devices anyway! So use the newer 360 silver or 460 silver kryo's instead of this! PLEASE!
Oh why do I even bother? I might as wel keep using my old Honor 8 which is still significantly faster than any of these!

Its has become really hard to get hands on compact phones nowadays and all these companies are not listening to the users who still like small or compact size phones. Just hoping if any company changes this ongoing big size phone trend just like they followed the shitty notch creation by Apple.

I think it's redmi 8a pro specs not redmi 8's,
I really don't think that they use SD439 in redmi even when redmi 7 has SD632.

Couldn't they have made this the one under 6-inch phone on their line up? 5.6-5.8 inches? What's the point of releasing a 100 phones every month all of them between 6.2 to 6.5 inches? It's getting annoying to not come across one compact, one-handed phone. Seems like the Galaxy S10e, A20e and A40 are the only ones that come close. The last two are only in limited markets in limited numbers.
