I am totally upset about the battery time of Nokia Lumia 800 since it comes only 6 to 7 hours per day.
I really hate this because every day before I go back home My mobile got switched off.

Bought my phone overseas, and have to send back to that country to have it repaired. Wont hold a charge any more, tried hooking up to PC, but no go.

i'm just pretty upset that with rather minimal usage (SMS, data connection, no online web surfing or even listening to music or taking pictures), I need to charge it every end of the day before it dies on me. When it tells me 7hours left, within one hour i've to charge it. Now I'm wondering if I should even upgrade the software.

After recent updates, my max battery life is only 25 hours. I'm not sure if it is the update that cause it to decrease so much. The battery does not seems to be dying. Might uninstall the update or reset the phone to test it out later.

One Thing Tho before It Was Supposed To Have New Camera Options A Panorama View But There Seems That It Is Not There Will There Be Any New Camera Updates In The Future?

Damned sexy phone for a Nokia.
Pitty Nokia won't work together with android, that would surely up their popularity.
Can anyone tell me if SIP is still integrated in Nokia? (used to be in 'E'- and 'N'-series)

With the latest update the Lumia 800 is just perfect. I updated it right after it was launched. It's been almost a week now. End call problem has been totally rectified. Great job u did (Nokia solution center)!!
Audio quality, brightness etc have all improved. No new camera modes though. Must have been a gimmick by the media......
Any if you're complaining about video calls just download tango video calls from Market place...
Stop being so dumb and make them brain cells work "PEOPLE"....
I'm using it and it sure is good.....

I got my Lumia 800 a week ago, and am in love with it. Only issue is the poor battery, so I am looking forward for this update. Meantime, I run my tests and here what I found. At the beginning, I was puzzled since it's seems that the battery performance were changing in time without a reason. Then I noticed that all the performance changes happened after a power cycle of the phone. So I tried to power cycle it, since today draining was high (the diagnostic gave current at ~270 mA). After the power cycle, current level was ~145 mA (stable). Is that possible that when powering off and on the phone, some harware setting just sets to a rundom number giving a change in the performance of the battery? Well, not an expert, but I wanted to let you know my finding in case it can help you.

The update has killed my Lumia 800. It's now a very expensive brick. On charge it keeps restarting constantly, that's the most life I can get out of it.

i already did the update.. n tried it for a full day. the battery still goes after 18 hrs.
i found tht dognistics n the phone dialler applications do a big number on the battery so removed those to.
so currently i only have very basic and needed apps.
cant really lstn to songs and videos cause d battery drains crazy fast. so no no heavy use and very less calls the battery still drains d same way. after the update the only thing wch was a lil different was d screen wch was kinda calmer wd low light settings,
also no camera changes like d one we heard group shots and panaograma mode. zilch improvement

Hey uys .. i am rocking on lumia 710..
just updated the recent new update from nokia and kaboom..
Music quality has sure gotten a big improvment.
battery life and end call bug cant comment- because its just been 15 minutes since the update but a rather useful input
Earier if i was playing music with headset the current supplied was always higher of 275 mA.. now its rolling lower than 215 mA.. that would i think for sure aid for the battery.
fingers crossed..

I have tried today in Germany but is not available. So i think in Europe we must 2-3 days wait before we have it. Pls don't talk about ip4 battery life, it's a joke ;) and when you have a lot of pics is so slow when you try to open the folder omfg...

You do realise that the battery life of iPhones after the last firmware update was so bad you'd be lucky to get a day out of it.
