Intel chips had a huge vulnerability on hardware level with Spectre and Meltdown since the inception of the Core i series which got fixed couple of years back. There were business computers which did fine all these years.

You all are missing my point. The fact One Plus is updating their phones is a good thing, but you don't go out and claim you are the fastest and then delay the to date to your flagships 6 months. They should have kept quiet about it and it would have looked better.

Flagship phone are about higher priority to OEM than mid or low range one. I'll be okay if they give us stable Pie with better camera update. Last year juho promised to give us camera improvement update but he betrayed and since then we never heard about Nokia 8 from them. How ignorant they can be?!Even Nokia 8 came with many defective hardware. All the repair parts are now rare to find. They dropped price of this phone more cheaper than a mid range phone thus low in resell value. OP 5/T and original Pixel exceeded from getting Android 10 but they still gonna get it. If you visit nokia community forum you'll see people are not satisfied with their product. Wannabe hmd doesn't have the quality control over hardware and software. They are selling cheap quality phone using zombie Nokia's name. Even almost dying Sony is much better than this wannabe crap. I'M so frustrated with my defected nokia 8. Nokia care couldn't do anything and unaware with the issue. so inexperienced

Heck a few things don't work if you update it to highest version available. I am keeping a custom ROM on it. With every iteration, modifying Android OS isn't as easy as it used to be on older devices.

We are talking about flagships here. iPhone-ish flagships, because there's only one smartphone model. They could've updated all their phones for sure, considering the non T and the T model have almost the same specs.
OnePlus here here, no hating, but... you get the point.
Considering they provide 2 years of Android updates, the 5 and 5T should get Android 10 this year. Maybe next year if they'll consider updating it to 11, it would be understandable to update it in 2021 because it exceedes those 2 years...

That trash wannabe Nokia hmd global should learn from OnePlus how good they are at managing their flagship phones. Nokia 8 was their very first flagship phone and they neglected it like they never built this phone. Nokia 8 never got good treatment from hmd and not getting Android 10. but first gen pixel phone even OP 5/T getting new Android. I wish i had chosen OP over wannabe Nokia HMD.

The 7T series is the first non-Pixel phone(s) to launch with Android 10. Even the 3 series got Pie even though it was late. Now the 5 series will get it 3rd major update. So yeah OnePlus is much faster and better at delivering updates than others like Samsung.
