Cheaper Note to be called Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite

Specs are still a mystery though.

This should be similar to the note 10 vanilla version. No SD slot too so you're limited in terms of expansion options...

A smaller Note is always welcome and should satisfy the needs of those with not so big hands.

SoC, 64 gb rom, 4 gb ram, 1080p flat screen, and only 2 cameras like S10e. Oh, and since this would target the price-conscious audience then maybe throw in 3.5mm jack and SD card support as fan-service. Would buy it if it's 500$.

People are used to have the best of best phone thus the note 10 the big phone with S pen and best of best specs.
This one doesnt seems to be promising or even charming enough so people will buy.

So, practically Samsung has ZERO competition for Note series and can charge silly margins for that.

It's a market ripe for competition.

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 12 Oct 2019You also forgot there is the EMEA variants of EACH OF THEM!... moreNope, no demographic variants.
Each country gets the same hardware and software, with the only difference being the language and power adapter. And OEMs don't have to rely on Qualcomm Snapdragon, they can design their own SoC's. Or have another producer make it for them, such as Samsung, Foxconn, Nvidia, TexasInstruments, etc etc. And they can achieve it, since we're talking about orders in the magnitude of around 50 Million units.

So only three variants a year, and the most popular "Medium Model" gets recycled for another round the next year. That way, it's easy to design, maintain, quality check, market, and update software for.

AnonD-771260, 11 Oct 2019Sales are slowing down and that's the way Samsung is trying... moreSmartphone sales are slowing down as people are starting to realise that they don't have to replace their phone as often as they usually do, only minor issues caused people to replace their phones. Samsung have been past their peak for over 5 years now and even back then they still made too many phones with confusing names e.g. Grand Prime, Core Prime, E5, J5 etc. Even Nokia made a lot of phones but with much less confusing names, Eseries, Nseries etc. The keyboards on the Eseries implied that they were suited towards the business market, Nseries being the flagship as usual. Samsung have 10 flagship phones, when Nokia had more market share, they only had 1. The amount of phones with the confusing names is just something that annoys me about Samsung.

Also, I don't understand the thought of a company trying to create more products when their sales are decreasing, yes, they're past their peak but they have been around 20% for a while.
