Features were locked and couldn't be unlocked unless I had a Huawei account, the U.S wasn't a supported region, so I couldn't. Ended up returning it. Thanks tho.

Misfit2Fields, 13 Oct 2019Is the 20 or 30 pro worth getting? Plan to upgrade soon, sa... moreThe Mate 20 Pro is totally worth it. It's very powerful, gorgeous looking, great fit and finish, comes with an almost endless array of dazzling features, importantly it sports an unique display resolution that very few phones in the world have. The Leica-collaborated cameras are excellent, and current prices make the phone a very good deal, at the same time, technology and feature-wise it can hold its own with any recent flagship device, even though it was first released just over a year ago. Huawei has pulled out all stops to create an amazing quality device.

After inserting the sim and switching my phone to roaming as recommended on the Reddit forum, I restarted my phone while connected to wifi and I started to receive updates.

Having tried many other things with no success, I decided to give it a shot. I went on Amazon and I ordered a Hong Kong sim card. I just received it today. I inserted it into my phone and I received 4 separate updates. My phone is now on 9.1 with the August security update.

Then look this folks... Yes!

Recently Huawei introduced a new generation of the popular Mate series, which don’t have official support for Google Play apps and services. The company CEO has said that if Google’s action continues, it will deploy its Harmony OS on the Huawei P40 next spring.

On August 9, Huawei Unveiled Harmony OS, which is primarily designed for computers, speakers, smart TVs, wearables and cars, and even Smartphones. It is a completely versatile platform that supports several types of applications such as HTML5, Linux and Android

harmony os
According to inside reports, Google now restricted Huawei to add additional modifications on EMUI 10 skin, so the company is now planning to push its own Operating system on existing devices with dual boot support which means the device will have both HarmonyOS and Android. The users can choose which one to use

The testing is now in the very beginning stage, we can’t reveal more information about it. the models will be chosen based on compatibility and performance Results.

We will reveal more exclusive information in the future. Stay tuned to ‘Huawei Advisor,’!
