ain, 15 Oct 2019how is it stupid? as explained above, oneplus' key market i... moreIts stupid in that they released the OP 7T 4 months after the original 7 line and this phone doesn't have any reason to exist at all, yet they focused their efforts and resources into it. . If they wanted to release the T version it should have brought something that set it apart from the original lineup and 5G would have been the thing. Yes India cannot use 5G, but what about USA and Europe? There certainly is a market for these phones right now.

So why tf would oneplus make any 5g phone when their trusted buyers cant even use it? gotta love the stupidity of some of these people labelling a CEO as stupid

Let America, Australia, Japan, China and some parts of Europe enjoy 5G.
I guess the 7 Pro 5G isn't a good sell that made him omit the premature 5G on the 7T Pro.

NotAnOpinion, 15 Oct 2019You just gotta love the stupidity's answers that these CEOs... moreIf the difference between the 4G and 5G models is 2-300 € (as it currently is), I'd be happy to use 4G for one or two more generations before moving up to 5G. I don't see a need for it right now, even here in Helsinki, Finland where 5G available "soon" according to the biggest operators.

Right now in my country Malaysia, 5G network is only under closed testing. So even if I buy any 5G phone right now, it would be pointless as there is no required network available. So for the time being, 5G is not a necessity.

It will take around 2 years or more for 5G to arrive in India
at this moment 5G is non existent in India
it doesn't makes sense to build costly 5G phones
when there are hardly any 5G coverage

Frankly speaking he is correct
Major Markets like India hardly have good stable coverage of 4G
& 5G will take more than 2 year's to come
It doesn't makes sense to make 5G phones when there almost non existent 5G networks in the major Markets
