Goo... moreThe benefit of capitalism is private companies are not liable to government and that is why Google is not bound to give user data to US government although they steal everything. On the other hand in a communist state every company and person should be liable to the govt. That is why when Huawei has the data, it's more dangerous. Huawei being a hardware company can steal data very much because they build the tower for data passing through.

ZolaIII, 16 Oct 2019Sure there's a difference.. So you think QC or Apple are no... moreAre you from this planet? Chinese people are more racist than Americans. Americans were the leader in black rights. Try to know how Chinese people behave to dark-skinned people in their country. Have you ever been there?
see what China is doing in Hongkong. And about Taiwan. Try to know about it. Although Taiwan think themselves as a different state, china considers Taiwan as part of them. So rather than building a wall they are grasping another country. Just read about the port in kenya or sri lanka or some countries in Africa where China has given loan and while they can't repay back, their ports are taken over by China. America is a war mongering state but they are better than china. Hatred towards US has affected the judgment so much that people starts thinking China as saint. Ignorance at its best.

So desperate are some people commenting here. Of course, US market is too closed to often see Huawei Smartphones. It is not like Iphones you can see in China. And before more Samsungs but since the explosions they almost disappeared from Chinese consumers preferences. I am glad with my Mate 20... and get regularly updates.

Even as a totalitarian country, there are other ways to deal with teenagers than just killing them.
Well, I will also have to avoid a lot of american brands too than just prostitute themselves to China.

Google takes data and sell to whom?
Huawei does that not google.
Google uses your data only to improve their services such as google maps, Digital wellbeing, Google assistant.
Using our data for their own services is still better than selling to third party.

I would buy their phones just to support them, the hysterical hate on them by the "liberal" world is so trite. Only thing is I don't support paying $1000+ for phones anymore, so I'll pass.

But Google still source hardware and sell ads in China. Same as Facebook. On the other hand, Huawei is banned selling and buying anything in the US, this is not a fair comparison.

If we only buy products or services that are made or head-quartered out of regions that do no evil, then it will have to be out of government-free territories like the Antarctic. Under current realities, good on Huawei to be able to thrive and compete.

BigDisplay, 16 Oct 2019Who says? ... You LOL. Go sleep kido. They have heen caught cheating several times already. Caught using DSLR camera for a "phone camera", using a moon image in their camera, they lied for having an OS for their smartphone, they have been telling they will take over Samsung number 1 spot since the Galaxy S5.

I wasn't sure it was a Huawei because they just came out, but it could have been. I figured he could have been a tech reviewer. I should have asked him, but I didn't really care to know and he got off the next stop.
All I see are iphones and Samsung. Mainly iphones. I saw one person with an essential when I was still using mine daily and I actually saw someone with a Xiaomi Mi Mix which I recognized because I have one.
Thing is you're not going to win over Americans with superior night cams and slower than slow . . . motion. Huawei's brand doesn't match iphone at this point. That's just the reality.
That may start to change tomorrow (if the reports are accurate).

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2019Just a propaganda. The truth is their government is the one... moreIm pretty sure that the Chinese government has offered some policies to support Huawei getting through this crisis which created by USA gov under the trade war background. The main reason for losing the global market is the ban by Google. But considering US market never was the main market of Huawei, the affection on the amount of profit shouldn't be large.
