1500 for minimal battery non premium soc only redeeming feat ram and storage on par.

It would be important to be able to reach the basic functions via the front display. Answering calls, reading texts, who has called, etc. If it always needs to be unfolded, it would be too impractical

A question: Why do I need a phone, which in folded form doesn't can do anything special?Foldable phones are made to be phones-tablets, not phones-smartwatch by functionality.

I loved the MOTO V3 back in the days. Razr 2019 is definitely going to be attractive phone but the price blows away the charm. I will only buy this phone if it fall under the price bracket of ($500 to 700).

Kingslayer, 18 Oct 2019Forget about it at $1,500. The original RAZR wasn't popular... moreIf you haven't realized, the Galaxy Fold cost more than $2,500. Way, WAY more than the expected price of this new RAZR.

For 1500 they should add SD855+ along with 12GB of ram and 512GB of internal storage.
Small battery isnt big problem as long as the screen isnt too big.

Forget about it at $1,500. The original RAZR wasn't popular when they were sold for $500 back in late-2004 as a fashion phone. It only became popular when they were slashed to $100 to $50 to FREE with a contract during 2005-2006. I don't even think the Fold and Mate X are worth over $1000.

Seems more interesting n logical then Mi Mix n Samsung Fold, Microsoft Fold.

On first look n leaked features it feels half baked premium like all motorola now a days u der Lenovo.

@$1500 i will be more happy if it comes with Android One with 4 years upgrade and 5 years update commitment n 2 years warranty on hinges as old motorola razar were very durable n was the main reason for hit.
Lets wait n watch. It will be fun to see hands on and user reviews everywhere next mid month to month end. So current talk of the town - Moto Razar. Yeah !! :)

I'm a moto fan but this is too expensive for the its specs. I think testing makes this expensive.

With SD 855+ and price tag of 1000$ this can put Motorola on they famous old paths. It's great to see compact and Still big screen phone. I'm just wonder how will that collapsible mechanism work after one year of using.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2019Temtping - but only if below 1000$. What good is this phone... moreThat is what is Motorola today a mid-range overpriced brand alias Lenovorola. The alleged mid-range fake premium. The excuse word for overpriced phones.

Temtping - but only if below 1000$. What good is this phone if you have to pay 1500$ for less than midrange specs.

This design actually makes sense unlike Galaxy F and other foldable phones.
On its open form, its a normal phone.
On its closed form its a small almost square piece.
                              Much more convenient and usable

Let us be real here, the spec's are from a $300 phone, and you pay $1200 cos it folds... Its an absurd proposition, the flexible oled doesn't cost that much more then the "standard" version's. And they had the initial look and form ect.. it costs $1500, cos its a foldable phone, when in reality the absolute max they should ask for it is $500...

Still too expensive. If people thought the cover screen on the Fold was too small, I have some bad news about the Motorola RAZR 2019.

Please dont sacrifice camera performance! Please!
I would love this device with top end camera. Can't wait for the release to see what's what.

I would love to have a 4.5" phone(like Moto E2) with 4GB RAM and 64/128 GB Memory. A 13MP back and 8MP selfie camera to be most optimum for elderly persons like me. It will be easy to handle.

CompactPhones5ever, 18 Oct 2019I really like the design, it's actually the first real fold... moreThere is more than chipset that defines price. This will have that definition mostly linked to its design. To fit a SD855 - with its mighty adreno 640 - would likely have needed more thought into cooling and a larger battery than what is manageable at this size and form.

I bought my phone primarily for it's design (and camera) and I really couldn't care less about its SD845 that I have fully utilized the potential of 0 times these past 10 months.

I think the 7nm SD735 would've been the perfect chipset for this phone, but not available in time. Maybe in next years refreshed version?

That chipset will bring 5G to the masses I think.
