please tell me, when is the ics version for the galaxy s2 coming out in south africa? when is the release date, or should i just keep on checking for updates in the "about phone" option?

I would advise NOT TO UPGRADE YET!
This upgrade sucks! Unlock screen is incomplete/bugged. Browser = crash. Menus eventually keeps slowing down, and you can't really enjoy 4.0 any more than 2.3 with touchwiz, so you end up using your same launcher and unlock screen anyways.
Bad job Samsung, very lousy job on this upgrade.

I have heard it can be updated by kies 2.0 and fota but it is no things, it is the fake news. samsung and andriod should clear this. cause of reputation.

Yesterday I updated my SGS2 to ICS.

Actually I don't like some of the new stuff. I hate how the "favorites" in the address book changed. Now there's no point of having them. Apart of that there isn't anything special apart the faster work.
