If you cant wait, just get the Resurrection Remix ICS ROM v9.6 from galaxys2root.com. Its so stable and very easy to update. Reviews says that its even better then Samsung's ICS version. Had mine for almost a week and runs GREAT!!!

It's slower and much less reliable. The contacts section crashes whenever i try to scroll through it and it crashes the whole touchwiz interface with it. Also thouh it gained functionality in some sections it also lost functionality in others.
In case you are wondering i'm using the official firmware updated via kies.
If i find a way i'll go back to GB until they make this version stabile.

anyone's experience on ICS speed and battery life?
pls comment as i have 2.3.6 gingerbread and i am satisfied with the speed and stability of it. but having an ics look would be nice...
so ics is it faster and better?

Anyone please help me I've updated my phone through sammobile odin to 2.3.6 but after that if I want to update my phone through kies it says "Your Device Does Not Support Updating Via Kies" So what can I do now please anyone help me

Remember,you can update only via Kies,not with OTA or Kies air

This is handset I bought in Davao before Xmas.
Using it all day and playing with the new OS. Small changes if I'm honest, but battery is perhaps 30% better. The phone is running well, maybe I imagine it is faster, but scrolling is less blurry.
Too early to be sure....give me a week or so to average my usage. Sunday school will be a good test as I tend to watch GMA clips.

For those who have updated (I live in the UK), what is the battery life like after the update. Improved or the same? I know it would be difficult to say after 1 day of use.

I don't know why is everybody bitching about. 4.0 is smooth, browser is much better, the interface is more elegant. is not baking bread or giving away free money and, if that is what you expected, DON'T update.

Lithuania - update available from yesterday. Very small changes in UI, finally updated email client - it can manage IMAP folders more or less now (thats plus), updated gmail client looks less atractive (thats minus, but maybe its just for me). Overal feels improved performance, but without proper benchmarking difficult to say.
Whats really strange, its text on lock sreen "Swipe screen to unlock" - looks really lame and like its doesnt belongs there :) It was better without it on gingerbread, what was the point to add it?
