Android and gimmicks are nothing new.

Android flagship users are nothing but beta testers for all the useless flashy gimmicks Android OEMs include in their phones .

Android phones will never be reliable and quality products.

If doesn't work with all screen protectors ; it means this technology is not ready. That's why apple and google don't want to use it yet.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2019Lol if it was left to you we would be using the same tech i... moreRead my post again. Technological advancement and innovation implemented on a device that doesn't need it or solve any problems on it is just that: Bragging rights and engineered change for the sake of coming up with something new, not necessarily better for the sake of bragging rights and sales push. In display fingerprint scanner and curved glass screens can be used elsewhere where they may be put to better use. Your silly analogy is like this: one should use laser technology in carpentry instead of several saws for cutting different things and different materials because lasers are the latest innovation/development of technology.

I think we can all agree that the most secure method is the pattern unlock.

For in display fingerprint scanner Optical Scanners is better and more realiable than Ultrasound.

                        Samsung Pay nightmare.

This is a major flaw on the security side.

chester, 19 Oct 2019Lol...so if you somehow loose your S10×××... moreThat's not how it works. It's if the fingerprint was registered AFTER applying these crappy dotted screen protectors then any fingerprint would allow it to be unlocked. As it's recognising the dots and not the actual fingerprint.

It's called innovation...it works fine doesn't mean it can't be improved and this is the first generation of ultrasonic scanner..and it was basically the woman's fault

Lol...so if you somehow loose your S10×××(due to theft maybe) a phone that costs at least $1 000 then anyone will be able to gain access using cheap $2 screen protector

                                    Biggest fail of 2019

Rocking the S10e, completely immune to this with its old school side fps

SAMSUNG should advise user don't use fingerprint unlock unless your want risk your screen break without install any tempered Glass type screen protector
