HTC launches another blockchain phone - Exodus 1s

19 October 2019
It is a big hardware step down from the original, but also cheaper and capable of running an entire Bitcoin node.

        Rebranding 101 by HTC:
Unpopular product + buzzword = profit. Add stickers or a thematic new look for max effect

SD435 paired with 4GB ram and 64GB disk space with 3000 mAh battery LCD and micro USB port for 219 euros is like buying an Iphone 3gs made from spare parts for 6666 euros.

5.7" display and 3000mAh battery sounds so back in 2014.

What nonsense !! Is this really a 2019 phone !!... Probably yes. I really miss that HTC which use to bring phones at a time with killer specs and modern designs.

HTC need to get rid of whoever is in charge and start making good phones again. They could get so many customers back on side by releasing some solid metal-backed phones again. People still want them and HTC used to be at the top with them.

I'm not much into all of this but I remember one is able to carry the node (or at least a hardware wallet) on a flashdrive and update it when connected. A few years back it was less than 100 gigs, though.
It would still cost much less than a phone, much easier to carry, and it wouldn't lag on a laptop.

With 435 on board I bet the phone would lag if you make a call during the update process.

I've just watched speed test between iPhone 11 Pro Max and OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus is faster. And after that powerful phones a weak HTC phone? RIP HTC.
