Android is unfortunately fragmented. There's optimizations for each of Android's iterations and it's making programmers a living hell to optimize all of them to be as smooth as Apple's.
Fuchsia and its Huawei rival, Harmony will end the pain points of fragmentation that Android has left.

And since both products have an actual production line, the manufacturing cost is lower than a brand new product, lets say iPhone 8 when it got out (even though the components are priced similarly), which means $399 is not a big stretch for Apple.

The flagships packed 8 GB to 12 GB of ram not because they need to.. Just because they can.. Just like Ferraris don't need all 500HP to move.. And it justifies the high price and their flagship title.. Unlike Apple which castrates their phone by giving a "just enough" ram, a "big enough" battery, a "fast enough" charging, a "good enough" 300 dpi screen and charge the flagshipest price..

For each their own tbh, the only issue here is that Apple doesn't offer a choice to consumers, they have to follow the apple choice and stick with it, whether they like it or not.

Finally a good replacement for my Iphone 6s 32gb. The form factor is perfect for me, because I really dislike big phones and how impractical smartphones have become in general. A great "little" phone with a good camera and best in class performance and maybe even water resistance?...I only hope one thing - the 7nm process coupled with (please oh please) bigger battery would also mean a slightly better battery life. If it would be at least 80% of that what I hear Iphone 11 can do, it would be good enough for me.

If this is true than it would be a great buy.
For those who compare the offering in terms of RAM,megapixels of cameras and all with respect to price tag, probably are not aware that these two are not 'orange to orange' comparisons.
iPhone have synced software and hardware to achieve the performance. Plus iOS is light on ram when compared to Android. Add to that they have designed their own SoC to suit the performance.
Android on other hand needs more RAM. Only Pixels and Android One offerings require lesser RAM. But other than that flagship makers like Samsung and others have bloated Android which would definitely need higher ram and SoC.
Hence, comparisons are out of question. Plus Apple provides software updates and support for 4 to 5 years.
In case of Android, it would end at 3 years max.
Again this would be a good choice ,if it's true.

If the se2 is indeed the size of a iPhone 8 with the same screen size, I'd love to get it. These 6+ inches phones are so big to handle. Thanks apple

In the article on the 2019 iPhones (https://www.gsmarena.com/2019_iphones_to_use_new_antenna_tech_expect_better_reception-news-36908.php) you claimed modified-PI antennas are better and cheaper and now LCPs are?! what is the better choice for performance (cost aside)?

What about screen? If is 18:9 aspect ratio in iPhone 8 body than great. But same 16:9 ratio is old and ugly for me. It's looks like toy compared to modern android models. A13 is best procesor on the market and having it for 400$ is also great deal.

Would Apple release a 3GB version of A13, just to mass produce this phone? Or will they keep all 4GB, and this news is false? Not sure which is cheaper for them.
And btw, the ram is in the cpu chip (Unlike what you see in a normal PC, whereby theres ram slots). And space on a piece of silicon is limited, Apple do not need tons of ram, they need FAST ram.. As for speed of a cpu, you normally think about transistors.. the more transistors the better it is, and A13 have 8.5billion...
