acyg, 28 Oct 2019These are the bands it supports:
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900... moreB12 is an important omission in the US. It's a medium range, medium bandwidth channel used to fill the gaps in the shorter range B2+B4/B66 coverage. You'd hit a frustrating number of small dead zones without it. I would not buy a phone without B12.
Some speed will be lost on all carriers by having B4 but not the wider B66. Some speed would be lost on Verizon by not having B13. Long range B71 for mountainous and desolate regions isn't there but this band needs more time to be put into use.

chmod xxx, 28 Oct 2019Because they're the same phone and you don't need a full re... moreYou seem to be seeing the review in terms of your own expectations only. The review is not just about the port. For Oppo Reno Ace, there's a better fast charging with 65W, Quad camera performance and samples, audio and display quality, etc also to consider. Just having having the same specs doesn't give you exact same performance. There are lots devices with the same camera sensors yet the results are way different. There are people who are budget conscious who would think twice whether spending extra few bucks are worth or not. So the review helps. Also, only ditch a technology, if you have a better capable alternative.

chmod xxx, 28 Oct 2019Because they're the same phone and you don't need a full re... moreIt may be outdated but wireless can't beat it. Tell me, does wireless have something as strong as QuadDAC or SabreDAC? Can Wireless have zero latency to play rhythm games like Osu!? THEY CAN'T and it's such a shame that the jack is dying an unwarranted death that needs to be brought to justice.
Maybe it's not outdated. The sounds are still ahead of its time and Bluetooth/Wireless is just 100 years too young to surpass it.

chmod xxx, 27 Oct 2019You've already reviewed the 7T and X2 Pro. They're all the ... moreThey are not. They can only be called same if they have exact same specs, build, design. Realme and Oppo maybe almost same except for charging speed and SD card slot. But oneplus is different.
Even though most of the specs are same, RealmeX2pro and RenoAce have quad camera (with a vertical design),faster charging (50W,65W),3.5mm Audio jack,4000mAh battery etc
While Oneplus7T only has triple camera(circular design) , 30W charging, no audio jack,3800mAh battery. However also has some minor advantages like wider set of LTE bands, better quality audio streaming through Bluetooth, slightly better connectivity features in WiFi and GPS, and support UFS3.0 with USB v3.1(which is faster, but both other support only USB v2.0). Also excluding the obvious fact that, each of them has their own custom UI's.
Having exactly the same chipset, display resolution and dimensions don't always make the devices same.
Even the 3.5mm jack, battery are count as shortcomings, for the overall User experience, Oneplus7T still is the better device. Only deciding factor to choose between these devices are the price. which is a major drawback Oneplus has. Considering that alone,Oneplus 7T loses to both Oppo Reno Ace and RealmeX2pro.

acyg, 28 Oct 2019I am American and I am getting the X2 Pro Is that so? So you're only using it for WiFi? Because no carrier will work on it...at least not with the standard call reception.

Dometalican, 27 Oct 2019I really wish you guys would add 'lack of global bands' as ... moreThese are the bands it supports:

I really wish you guys would add 'lack of global bands' as a con because in this day in age, with everything being purchased online practically, it's stupid to only have like 9 LTE bands for India, China, and some parts of Europe instead of global bands and GSM/CDMA for everywhere. Even if Americans have to pay slightly more, I would've gotten the Realme X2 Pro in a heartbeat if I was able to use it here.

Shiny Dave, 27 Oct 2019I'll be very intrigued to hear about the phone heat in this... moreHeat probably won't be an issue. Since they use 10V to charge and a chip (something like that) to separate it into 5V to charge 2 batteries quickly at the same time. At least that's what I heard that is.

I'll be very intrigued to hear about the phone heat in this test. Of course such fast charging could come with issues, but if the charger itself absorbs that heat there's probably not an issue. If it doesn't, there might be.
Impressive charging speed nonetheless, and I suspect there'll be more where this came from in 2020.
