It stored your credit card into the phone, technically you are still paying using your credit card. SO, you cash back and whatsoever are still counted.
what's good for mobile payment is more secure than the contactless card. Anyone can tap your card without authentication but mobile payment at least need you to unlock it before transaction.

Samsung Pay does sound pretty good. But I think long term once more places accept NFC, where I live it's already very common, Google Pay will probably end up being the most used as it's cross manufacturer which should give it an advantage. Good for those who have a Samsung to have an extra option though

@Anders Because Samsung pay offer perks and discounts from time to time. Recently purchased Neato D6 robo cleaner with $250 extra discount @ Bestbuy.

Chase cancelled my card immediately. I thought I was screwed. As soon as I set up to have my card replaced, new card showed up right away on Apple Pay but my card came in 5 days later.

Anders, 25 Oct 2019Why are people with Samsung's using Samsung Pay instead of ... moreI don't beleive this statistic much because Apple Pay doesnt even work with every POS, you need an NFC enabled one and you can't fond one everywhere, this is changing but as of today Samsung Pay is usable with any existing POS as well as NFC. I personally have a Samsung and use Samsung Pay, it is fast, convenient and you get rewards you can use in Samsung online shop, not that this is that important but it is something.

It has both NFC & MST technology which means the phones and watches with Samsung Pay can be used on normal credit & debit card machines. It's basically Google pay plus more. I dont carry my cards around and use Samsung pay.
