suni08, 27 Oct 2019More difficult to pirate stuff then Imagine associating openness to piracy. Lots of iphone users have pirated stuff in theirs esp multimedia.

And this video is moot with Safari sending ip addresses to Tencent/China.

What privacy is there in using Google services on an iPhone?

Popy, 26 Oct 2019Will ignore all replies 1. I cannot use this as my seconda... moreMore difficult to pirate stuff then

Google definitley is more intrusive than Apple when it comes to your data, but Apple is also definitley collecting and storing your data.

All in all - I won't pay 1000€ for phone.

Every company has your private data. No company will ever stop accessing your data. In the name of better user experience they are monitoring everything.
                That's it. Over.

There is only one way to keep your privacy. Don't let Google or Apple ever collect your data. They collect huge amount of your private data. Apple also sends tons of data to Google. Instead of Google or Apple you should choose an OS which keeps your data private. I like /e/ OS. It is Android based but ungoogled, it doesn't send your data to Google. Its made for privacy and open-source. It's done by e Foundation.

Even if Android is more vulnerable than IOS, its not like hackers choose to hack every person they see on the street so unless you are "somebody" I wouldn't worry about information being stolen.

That said the biggest risk comes from Apple itself which can access most of your information like Google, Facebook and even Microsoft, and sell it to the best buyer. The biggest threat is actually the government which probably knows everything about you, like the kind of movies you watch, who do you speak to, what places you go and such.

                          1. I cannot use this as my secondary flash drive while any Android does
                          2. Zero platform sharing capabilities on its own without a computer, It Cannot Share movies downloaded on the phone from the internet by itself,While I can share with Android or iOS users but they cannot share with me
                          3. No Apps developed Outside the Appstore or nor can u simply can go and download a app from the internet and install without a pc,While Android has thousands developed Outside the Play store and millions inside the playstore
                          4. iTunes suck if u have to quickly sync with ur friends laptop,Androids don't need deal with any bullshit softwares straight up copy paste
                          5. Only one Brand and one Os To chose from while I have 20 brands to chose from

Both Apple and Google will collect your data no matter what, all you have to decide is who you want collecting it.

                              No point to talk

I will stay with android. It's more user friendly.

foo, 26 Oct 2019bold words from a company bowing down to CCPBut in Apple's defense, the Chinese are 100% aware that lack of privacy is a way of life. They have zero expectation of it. Even many Western societies are moving towards social credit scores, just like the Chinese.

With the way Google is meddling in all areas of our lives, privacy is actually becoming a strong selling point. I've always despised Apple, but when Google started turning evil.... If it weren't for my fairly new Note 10+, this is the first year I've SERIOUSLY considered an iPhone. Unless Samsung blows us away in 2020, I might make the jump next year. For now, I've deleted/paused ALL Google activity and tracking.
