Perhaps you're lucky enough not to have ads, but my Redmi 5 Plus is pretty much an adware brick with text & call capabilities.
How I wish Xiaomi didn't remove ads ONLY for flagships.....

Hmm....so I think the XZ Premium/XZ1 series receiving Android 9 update is an unusal thing.
And the XZ2 is still under the 2-year support timespan of Android, why wouldn't Sony consider releasing Android 10 for it? The SD845 is inarguably more than powerful enough (even overkill) to handle the OS.

nepu.bug, 28 Oct 2019I love MIUI and the small utilities they add on top of andr... morethe ads are all actually in their apps, you can easily not use their apps, or even China apps which are all designed with an ad splash screen to begin with lmao. Miui 11 is frickin fantastic to be honest and other than stock. Others have nothing to compare. (people say iOS is great, but I wouldn't know since miui is a happy time)

However there is no official statement or promise from Sony about the Q update for XZ2.

2 - Don't care for updates that would NOT stop the ads.
They shouldn't be there in the first place.
They say that iOS is a bad OS, but I say this is one of those things that makes it better than Android.
5 years of continuous support? Android needs some catching up.

I love MIUI and the small utilities they add on top of android. One thing I'm not happy with is the ads they display inside MIUI. Hopefully, it's more polished than MIUI 10 which I enjoyed.
