            1) This device is not setup for being compatible with Google play out of the box, unlike other Chinese phones that just doesn't come pre-loaded with google in China due to Chinese restrictions. Hence the Mate 30 devices sold with google play have the unsafe, and now blocked, LZPLay workaround. Where as other devices just have google services enabled, often through an app in the manufacturers own app store, not shady stuff off the Internet.

            2) Aliexpress is a marketplace, like ebay, with loads of different sellers. It's not a store, though there are some manufacturers who have there official stores at this marketplace.

I'd also like to add one more
            3) Stores like gearbest, geekbuying and some sellers on aliexpress has historically often pre-loaded phones with junk ROMs (vendor ROMs), and not official ones, but luckily manufacturers (like Xiaomi) has made that more difficult for them. A typical downside with these ROMs are no OTA updates. I purchased a device from either gearbest or geekbuying once and had to flash an official ROM to it. This is not something John or Jane Consumer is likely to do, or even be aware of being a possibility.

Global ROM, without official in front, and multi language version are examples of what could be this type of junk ROM.

It's true that some minor retailers do try to install adware using the same method, but if it is as big as Aliexpress or Gearbest they won't bother putting their reputation at risk by doing shady things.. it's been in this way for ages.

But that was the topic being discussed here, it was about getting google's app and services to work in this device, and the most "marketed" way originally was pretty much very unsafe and has since been blocked.

Obviously Google Pay fails, but I know several people on the internet who actually got it and are reporting pretty much everything else works just fine. Still not something I can recommend to average phone users, though.

Seriously, we are at the end part of 2019 and they will only sell a 4G variant for 35-50K PH pesos? I smell sharp drop in price in the next 3-4 months.

So sad EU leaders cannot step together and fix this trade ban excluding Europe.. Why the hell users outside US must suffer ban from one egotrip leader. We live on such a beautiful planet but in such an ugly world. I hope my country will fix this. We said already once yes to Huawei and no to US, hope also in this case something happen.

The phone doesn't have a 90 Hz screen. This is not correct.
