LG is adding insult to injury. Meanwhile people like myself on the unlocked version of V30S get the "your phone is up to date" message in LG Bridge while still on Oreo.

And here I am still stuck with 7.0. Guess my next phone won't be an LG. Shame tho' this is the best wide angle camera among it's contemporaries and even some of today's. (used) Price wise.

The LG G6, LG V30, LG G8, and LG V50 are very respectable phones.
They have everything in that list except IrDa Blaster, and they swap the Removable Battery feature for good IP68 protection. I think the way LG can differentiate themselves from Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus is to become consumer-friendly. They can be the only OEM in the market of 2020 to have:
- A great SkinnedOS with option for StockOS when developer mode/bootloader unlocked
- Flush backplate (no camera hump) made from glass-like polycarbonate (non-shatter/fragile)
- Flat display with Tempered Protector installed in-box
- Headphone Jack with IP68 and MIL protection
- Maybe reintroduction of the IrDa blaster
- No Holes/Notch (Slim Bezels)
- DualSIM and microSD support
- Proper 21:9 Aspect Ratio with symmetrical design
- Front-firing Stereo Loudspeakers (and noise cancelling/multiple microphones)
- Basically design, features, and software pointed towards practicality, and less emphasis on gimmicks, marketing, or keeping up with the trends.
...but based on LG's leadership and management, I doubt they will make the wise decisions.

1. Removable Battery
2. Dual Camera
3. Quad DAC
4. IR Blaster
5. FM Radio
Of which none of the above combinations put together made it out of LG's factories ever again..

But, it's as if manufacturers will do a better job if only they don't focus on launching new models every other month.
Who's to blame though? The one who keeps pumping out shiny stuff or the masses that keep buying them?

Better to wait for review before upgrading, sometimes new version tend to buggy. I don't have this phone but I believe it do have good features and premium quality.

Phones fan, 01 Nov 2019The last respectful phone from LG.Not quite.
The LG G6 was the best value phone of 2017 when it was discounted 6 months after release, wasn't popular until the discount largely for the crime of offering 2016 specs in a 2018 body.
The LG V30 was one of the best flagships of 2017, and it too was discounted after 12 months from release, making it a popular purchase in late 2018-early 2019.
The LG G8 and LG V50 are one of the best flagships of 2019, however there's very little sales/success of that for good reasons. Because they had very little marketing, so they lost the general consumer vote. They lost the enthusiast/developer vote when they made the bootloaders locked, software updates slow, and battery permanent. And they lost the budget vote, when they raised the sales price and had no discounts so far; unlike Samsung's S10, or cheaper alternatives from ZTE Axon10 Pro and OnePlus 7t/Pro for value.
Why? All because they have bad management!

Nice! Can't wait until it comes on mine! I'm still rockin' the LG V20 considering it's the last phone with Removable Battery and IR Blaster along with the DAC, 2K bright LCD display, and decent camera.
