jamesabraham, 05 Nov 2019What is burn in?To put it in simple words, every pixel in amoled is made up of red, green, blue LEDs and to produce an image these LEDs glow in combination to produce a desired colour but when ever an LED glows, there is some degradation in Diode material (LED - light emitting diode) and this is more prominent in blue LED. So when your mobile amoled display shows some image or icon that is at same position on screen for long time like the battery symbol at the top, the blue LED starts to degrade faster than other LEDs and so it leaves a permanent mark on screen. But now a days companies r using different techniques to slow down blue LED degradation by either increasing the size of blue LED or by randomly shuffling the image between its neighbouring pixels in a way that even our naked eye can not tell the difference and so this burn in problem is less prominent now but is still possible if u use ur mobile for long hours like gaming.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2019LCD screen = failI only buy LCD, because AMOLED is a fail that gets burn in in some scenarios. AMOLED is a huge compromise and I hope something better than both LCD and AMOLED will appear soon

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2019LCD screen = failNot exactly true. LCDs are still better for long-term usage. OLEDs have improved in all regards except the burn-in issue, which is still a prevalent issue.
And although the screen may not be so great, it is still decent though. Besides that, this phone have good specs, a large battery, solid cameras, and an attractive price tag. I can assure you that it will keep it's owners satisfied for a long time, if they decide to hold onto it.

Love the Community, 04 Nov 2019If LCD is bad, how come gaming monitors 24inches and above ... moreFrom my analysis, Pentile matrix is only noticeable at very short distances, I notice it only when I'm in bed without my glasses, but yeah it's there.
Then from what GSM Arena say in their review, the Zenfone 6 has inferior brightness, contrast and color accuracy than my Redmi Note 5 AI, which is quite disappointing, a phone with great SoC, huge battery and nice cameras and you ruin it with that trash display?

Early update due to clean version of Android. Hope more manufacturer use near stock Android. And hope Asus release more phone like this in midrange segment.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2019LCD screen = failLcd has its on advantage actually . If you are using smartphone for 2- 3 years then lcd is good because after 1 year there it start the oled burn in issues. My phone is only 1year 2 months and it has burn in issues and its just getting worst every day. And replacing oled display is damn expensive.lcd is way cheaper to replace.

Also Mi9 are gettin Android 10, last week for GLobal, today the EEA version are out!!! and...this is promising...i love the new features!
